I'm very grateful to Dr Strydom and his fantastic team for the numerous procedures they've done:
- Night guard
- Sports mouth guard
- Cosmetic improvement to front chipped tooth
- Old filling replacement
- Oral hygiene
Dr Strydom recommended I wear a night guard, as I was grinding my teeth while sleeping. This made me realise I didn't breathe through my nose properly and ended up getting a Septoplasty from my ENT. Both strategies significantly improved my sleep to a point where I feel incomplete without my night guard.
I practise Martial Arts and Dr Strydom made me a professional mouth guard, which is way more comfortable and effective than a store bought guard.
When I was a teenager I broke my front tooth in a bicycle accident. It cracked in a tricky place and the filling tends to break off every couple of years when I bite into something hard. Dr Strydom's fixing is the best I've had so far from the several dentists I've been to (I used to travel a lot) and lasts the longest.
Last but not least, I also get my teeth cleaned with the resident oral hygienist regularly and I can not endorse this enough. My mouth feels reborn after every cleaning! ;)
If you're worried about the pricing, give them a call before hand to get an estimate.

One of my issues with major dental work such as implants is having to deal with more than one practitioner. I originally went to Jean Strydom because he has the skill to handle all the work needed in one place. I can't fault my experience from diagnosis, recommendation, quoting to guiding me through the process. His equipment is state if the art and crowns get milled on the premises. The location of the practice provides a sense of VIP whereas the total cost was less than I expected. Highly recommended.

Best technical skills of any dentist I have ever gone to. His work last and last. Not a single thing he has done has broken yet, where before that was a constant problem. Also does milling of ceramic fillings and inserts on site, which is a lot safer than amalgam fillings and will last a very long time. Very happy.

I've been a patient of Dr Jean Strydom for over ten years, and it has been a wonderful experience from the start. The level of care and professionalism is amazing, and the privilege of having the dedicated team of Dr Jean and Najima his assistant will always be appreciated. I joined the practice as a patient when i was living in Cape Town, and for the past 5 years i have been based in Johannesburg, but have since always arranged my trips to CT around my dental visits! With gratitude and appreciation to an amazing dentist!

Since being introduced to Jean Strydom and the Molteno Road practice over twelve years ago our visits to the dentist have become routine and regular in a way that they never were in the UK. The 'Team's' calm, relaxed
approach extends from the waiting room into the surgery where it is complimented immeasurably by a confidence and professionalism that
would calm even the most troubled patient with every stage of play thoughtfully and clearly explained.
The uncluttered simplicity of the surgery gives no indication of the state-of-the art, 21st Century dental technology in use and has become the absolute hallmark of the practice.
It could never be said that going to the dentist was a pleasure but with
their hugely affable, calm professionalism and their ongoing investment in the advances of the 'tools of their trade' they have relegated forever the fear factor of the visit. Thankyou to you both.

My experience with Molteno Dental Practice has been nothing short of incredible. After suffering with immense tooth pain, it was eventually Dr Strydom that diagnosed the problem correctly and professionally completed the dentistry work required. The manner in which Dr Strydom and his staff interacts with their patients is not often experienced. I would without hesitation recommend Molteno Dental Practice.

Like everyone, well those of us that aren't masochists, I have never enjoyed going to the dentist. Something about being stuck in a chair with a drill in my mouth I imagine. However, and this is a BIG however, my experience at Molteno Road was nothing short of amazing. I attended Jean's practice on a recommendation from my ex-wife, who would usually want to inflict pain rather than mitigate it, and following my treatment our relationship has flourished! - I required an implant, which to those in the know, requires hours of time in the chair with drills and spikey things. Despite this I barely felt any pain throughout, apart from a little lower back pain from remaining still for so long! The procedure and results were nothing short of amazing! - I was both comfortable and at times entertained by dental jokes (yes there is such a thing!) and now when I smile, I have the piece of mind that my pearly whites are indeed straight and . white!
Jean, I would just like to thank you and your lovely assistant for the professional service I received and the improved smile I now have.
Keep working on the jokes, you'll get there in the end.

Dr Strydom is an excellent dentist who pays attention to detail and goes the extra mile. I urgently needed help with a back tooth abscess and even though it was a public holiday he helped me with antibiotics. Dr Strydom is a dentist who uses all the latest technology and works gently and with care. I would highly recommend this upmarket practice for excellent professional service provided in a friendly environment.

Super friendly and professional accompanied by excellent care.
Dr Strydom takes time to explain, in user-friendly language, the benefits and drawbacks of a particular treatment plan before suggesting his professional opinion.
Excellent attention to detail with fantastic after-care and support.
Affordable and unhurried.
Very pleased with the care I received.
