Great padstal with worthwhile things to buy, homemade goodies too. Restaurant serves good, humble food with acceptable portions.

They can not cope with a full restaurant and cut corners.
I ordered a simple breakfast 2 soft eggs, bacon and toast.
I received beyond overdone eggs, raw bacon and one half of the slice of toast was not toasted.
This is not my first bad experience with food at Klipheuwel Padstal.response / report this review -

We went for breakfast and ended up staying for 3hours. The breakfast menu is simple, but what is on offer is more than adequate. The breakfast was delicious but disappointed with only one ice of toast. The coffee is amazing and they deliver it in a rather large cup, A+. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Absolutely love this hidden gem!! From the awesome beer, pizza and staff. Particularly the Manager, Louis who made us feel welcome and had awesome stories to tell. Kept us entertained and interested and his good nature and honesty was appealing to us. Even though it's only been open for 2 months, I am sure it will be open for many years to come. A welcome edition to the Garden Route.

We stopped for lunch on the way through town and ordered the special on the board. Honestly, the food was shockingly bad—stringy, cooked-to-death, rock-hard chicken, brown broccoli and rice so dry it wouldn’t stay on the fork. The padstal itself is lovely, but we left so disappointed that we were actually sad. Shame.
