  Great and varied selection of novels and books. Honestly one of my favourite book stores of all time. The owner does not mind if you pick up and look through the books, making the selection process for your next read even better.

  Love this little bookshop! Surrounded by great coffee shops, restaurants and sea air. Tranquil and therapeutic. Be sure to go upstairs and snoop around the fantasy section!

  I never leave the store without finding a great book. My dog loves this place and they love having her visit - what more can they ask for. If Main Rd is too busy on a nice day, dive into Kalk Bay Books for a few minutes of peace.

  Beautiful shop, nice selection, however I did not feel welcomed when I walked into the shop. A smile would go a long way.

  Arrogant with a derogatory attitude, pretentious in relation to the cozy ambiance . This is normally the case when the workers are failed writers but in this case , just downright rude

  My favorite book shop in Cape Town. Great selection of authors and a decent children's section. They have a decent selection of international magazines and newspapers. It's connected to a cafe called The Annex, making it the perfect place to pick up something to read before settling down with a coffee next door.
