Great English Pub feeling to it, with a sports vibe, even if you are not into sports.

Very empty and the staff are not very knowledgeable about their beers. If you looking for a spot to have a beer(non craft) or two after work maybe catch some sport it's the perfect place. The venue does come alive after rugby and cricket because it's located in walking distance from newlands rugby and cricket stadiums. The food is good have never been disappointed. The have a craft brewery on site and they do offer tasters on Saturday. Newlands has some great pubs and springboks is not one of them. It used to be the main attraction in the claremont /newlands area for students now it's just a simple local with 5 regular customers.

Great place to watch Western Province play some #rugby and have a few drinks with friends. If you don't like the sound of trains passing by every half an hour or so then you wanna go to Springbok Pub after 8pm or when trains gave stopped running.

Been there last Saturday before the rugby, service is shocking, food is average, toilets are absolutely disgusting.. Can't believe that so many patrons adopt and accept mediocrity.

Smelly, smoky, non rugby day. Nothing on the menu available to order. Probably much better full of people and people full of beer
