Friendly staff. Hotel Rooms need a refresh - old and worn out. Hotel hallways need a refurbishment. Good place to stay if you’re not going to hang out at the hotel at all. The bar needs serious work!

I hated my experience in this hotel. The markings for the actual entrance is not there so we had to park far and had no guidance as to where to enter. Took us more than 10 min to find it. Meanwhile the guard is sleeping. And the hotel floor and carpets and couches need a good scrub. Truly. We were given a room someone else was using and then had to çhange. and our bags were searched we we were gone. I would never ever go back nor recommend anyone to go there. Never.

Hotel was great! Friendly staff, great breakfast. The restaurant Butcher Block however was a disaster. I would not recommend it again. Service and food was a big dissapointment

Reception is located on the second floor which is very inconvenient. Taxis to the beach are extremely expensive. Dangerous to walk to the shopping centre for tourists. Breakfast is rather boring. Rooms are clean and have enough space. Wouldn't spend a holiday there.. Too far from everything to walk to the Beach. Not for Families. It a business trip hotel.

I don't think I've ever been to a place where every single staff member was so friendly and helpful! The service was amazing. The room was comfortable, I just feel that they can improve on how they clean the rooms each day. Other than that, great service!

The place is clean ,neat and the room is specious and u can relax no much noise , the staff is friendly and easy to communicate and willing to help all the time , safe parking for yo vehicle , 24 hours security .safe .good view of the beach .

Not a good experience. Woken repeatedly after 11pm by a soccer team yelling right outside our room. We eventually had to move to another room on another floor at midnight. The manager did apologise the next morning and gave us a discount. However we felt that we should not have been charged at all. Why should you pay good money to stay at a hotel when you get a better night's sleep staying at home? And we were really looking forward to a restful time together. We would not recommend this hotel.

We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Good location for access to Gateway Shopping Mall as well as the Umhlanga beach area. Good sea views. Compliments to Nash, the breakfast manager who paid special attention to our needs. Front desk staff could be friendlier (did not feel welcome when we checked in). Elevator carpets need more regular cleaning during busy times. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Positives about this hotel is that there are some great views of the sea from the breakfast / lounge area. This area of the hotel is contemporary designed. Rooms are rather standard, nothing amazing but if I compared it to the Holiday inn expresses in USA it is much better.Price wise I find this hotel much more expensive than the HIX in USA. Reception/ front desk service is great.

Rooms are clean and decently kitted especially for the price point. Close to most amenities. We came for holiday so was just a short drive to umhlanga's beach. And gateway is walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful. Having a really good stay

The place is great and in a reasonably convenient location if you want to be out of the city. The staff is awesome and professional. The breakfast has sufficient range and butchers restaurant is a great add on. The setback is that the TV channels are limited and the undercover parking is charged as an extra. However, I would love to stay here again.

The rooms are well kept and the view is stunning if you get the right room. Staff is friendly and very quick to help. Unfortunately you have to pay extra for access to the underground parking.

Amazing staff. Always clean. buffet is really good. rooms are well designed they offer smoking and non smoming rooms really nice outdoor area with pool and really close to the sea.
