Actually had a delicious meal at Raffia restaurant, Francis the waiter is very friendly. Will definitely recommend it to everybody l know!!

Busy with renovations but still a lovely camping experience. Each site surrounded by lots of natural vegetation, lots of bird life and bushbabies.

At first I was very hesitant after I have read some of the reviews I saw on the website but we are so glad we decided to go!! The NEW OWNER are making a huge upgrade to the resort!!!!
I would like to thank the staff (from the reception right down to the cleaners) and Management for their friendly and awesome service. We had our anniversary on the 28Th April 2017 and we were treated like royalty!!
The chalet was very tasteful and sparkling clean, the ferry “the Fish Eagle” to the beach and back, as well as the cruise up the lagoon was tranquil and a lot of birdlife to be seen.
Our piganes was treated as part of the family, at the Raffia restaurant’s deck she was given some water and a lot of love!
The food was excellent and the service suburb, we felt at home and will definitely book again!!

Great campsite if you love nature. Lots of interesting trees covering all of the campsite. Even spotted a bushbaby. Also offering a big variety of bird species.
Facilities require maintenance, but the lodge is currently being renovated. The ablution blocks were perfectly clean. Also felt safe camping there.response / report this review -

Make no mistake, the natural beauty of the place will be hard to beat anywhere. The lagoon is great and the lawns are stunning. You can play in river with your jet-ski or boat or you can fish from the side. No direct access to the beach. Unfortunately the bathrooms could do with an upgrade, or at least better/more cleaning, and the place seems to be run on a shoestring budget, which does not equate well with the out of season rate of R146.00 pppn. Better value can be had. I guess I was just disappointed to see such a beautiful place with so much potential under-maintained and under developed.The mozzies are wicked - don't forget the insect repellent. Despite a few gripes, our five days were good, even if it rained cats and dogs for a day and a night. I guess we will be going back as my wife is completely in love with all the foliage at this resort, and I have a secret, private bass dam to visit nearby.
