Not a 4 star experience. Cupboard door hinge was broken, cushions was very hard and uncomfy and the TV channel reception for watvhing the Boks game was very poor.

Slow WiFi. VERY noisy from the bar downstairs both at night (until midnight) and early in the morning (from 7am when the kitchen starts work). Reception is on the floor above the ground floor (so 1st or 2nd depending on what country you are from),so you'll have to carry your bags up the stairs.
Could be a good hotel, but it's rough around the edges. The location is good. The room was huge. The kitchenette is handy. Some kind of dish brush/sponge would be helpful as there is no dishwasher, so the dishes were greasy as they had just been rinsed by previous guests. Various of the light switches don't work. In the shower, the shelf was falling off the wall. The toilet roll holder is silly and the toilet roll falls off of it all the time. The fitted sheet was for a smaller bed, so didn't fit. The staff were friendly. It's such a shame that it's not a little more polished, but whatever they do, they are unlikely to get over the noise problem, so if you need quiet to sleep, you should think carefully.

Location is excellent you are on Kloof Street with its young energetic vibe. Some really good bars and restaurants within a short walk. Rooms are spacious and and very well decorated.

We enjoyed our stay here and felt it was really nice. We were given one of the retro rooms to stay in which was nice of them. Our only criticism is the meal vouchers for the morning are 90 RAH each and some places can be a little expensive! Overall a nice play to stay though. I'll update with pictures of our room when I can.

Nice room, great shower and tub. Instead of breakfast in the hotel you get a voucher for food at 5 local spots, which was a lot of fun.

Not knowing the area, we didn't realise we had booked a room above what seems to be the place to be on a Friday night.

Luckily, we had a room which was not facing the main road and was surprisingly sheltered from the action. Unless you want to feel like you are in a bar on a Friday night for your entire stay, make sure you get a room facing away from the action.

There are three bars/cafes\restaurants immediately below the hotel. We went to the fat cactus- mexican- and had a late lunch and a drink after hiking up table mountain in the morning. It was fantastic and great prices. About $3 a drink, and $8-$12 for a fantastic meal. Loved it. There is a Thai restaurant aswel.

The complementary continental breakfast is served at 'mano a mano' which is the other restaurant downstairs.

The room was very nice. Spacious with fridge, good flat screen and cable. A modern design, with comfortable furniture.

We drove, so the secure off-street parking was great. I am not sure if we were supposed to get the pass code but the staff seem to be busy sometimes and getting buzzed in took more than five minutes on one occasion- I ended up calling by phone to get them to open the gate to the parking- but I consider this a rare slip from otherwise dedicated staff.

Good wifi, and good room service from any of the restaurants downstairs.

I would definitely stay here again, but I would absolutely male sure I got a room facing away from the street. The other side of the building is very quiet.
