  Excellent sense of place on top of the lower Drakensberg. Uninterrupted views up to Giant's Castle of the main Drakensberg and down to the Kamberg and Rosetta area. Lovely walks to the nearby trout fishing dams and Aasvoel cave etc. Campsite accommodation, ablutions with gas fired hot water shower.

  We hiked to the caves and stayed there for the night, it was an excellent trip for an albeit very short hike (roughly 5kms). The cave was beautiful, but I would suggest taking a tent as it gets freezing at night even in summer.

  This most amazing place never disappoints. Taking it easy, any sedan gets you right into the berg, with great views all round. The camp sites are superb with braaistands that actually work while the small ablution block is always clean and the water piping hot. Walks are fairly easy going and a dip underneath the falls is life-changing - you're bound to remember it forever. Most willing Ezemvelo staff we've ever encountered, from rushing into the berg with survival gear for hikers in distress to helping with car trouble and carrying your gear.
  Go! Camp there and drink brand new water straight from a mountain spring or just sit and let your stressful dayjob get lost as you listen to your soul.

  How very, very disappointing!!!!!
  When we arrived at about 10.30 a.m. on Saturday 16 September, the campsites had not been cleaned and the ablutions were filthy dirty with blocked drains in the shower and water collected there. When I enquired at the office for someone to clean up, the very pleasant lady there told me that at 4 pm it would be cleaned. When we went to shower at 4.20 p.m. the same lady from the office was there cleaning and it was beautifully cleaned by her. However, despite there being many, many gas bottles in sight, there was NO HOT WATER and it was freezing cold by this stage!!!!
  There are many staff houses there with people living in there and yet this one woman is expected to do everything. You only have to supply two things for our R114 per night and that is a clean site and hot water and you supplied neither. Don't think we'll be going back there!!!

  Amazing! Wonderfully small campsite. A secret treasure that hasn't been over run by people. Peaceful and back to nature. Love it.

  Fantastic 2 nights away. Camp site fantastic and very well kept. Sadly the reception staff need a shake up. They bring the whole of KZN wildlife down. We went to Giants Castle for a day trip and their staff get 5 stars
