Wow!Wow!Wow! What an amazing experience!! Apart from the perfect weather, we had the best service, our drinks and food was perfect and exactly the way we asked for it to be prepared!! Thank you to the management and staff for your friendly and professional service! Let’s hope this is not just a one-time experience but the consistent standard that many other eateries/restaurants can strive to achieve. The easiest 5-star rating I’ve given to any establishment!!

An incredible dining experience. The perfect balance between great cuisine, great service, incredible views. The ambience is lovely with a play area for the kids and delicate lighting for the people who require a little bit more romance. The service is amazing with waiters and hostesses tending to your every need. The food is fresh and tasty. Definitely one of those institutions to which we’ll return again and again. Well done team

Perfect place for a family. The kids are happy in the really novel playground and the parents are happy with the great range of gourmet meals. Really good seafood dishes (try the muscle chowder starter!). And they have an especially large range of exciting vegetarian dishes.
The playground consists of a beautifully built light-house and boat, perfect for imaginative play and exploring.

First two times we had the burger special it was amazing , but the last visit, which was also their last night offering the burger and a beer for R60, was not enjoyable at all. The meat was very rare despite the fact that we asked for medium to well done , and the waiter just said this is "how it comes, they're all medium. " Sorry, youve lost us as loyal fans.

I've been to Damhuis restaurant several times over the past few years and always receive top-notch service from all the staff, who are friendly and accommodating. Their menu is varied and laid out in a simple and logical way. The seafood is very good and they make the best lemon meringue I've ever had anywhere!

On our visit we chose the more relaxed pub area to sit and dine. The food was great although my Beef Pot Pie crust was a little hard and dry. The chef was super accommodating with a change of sauces. We had a lovely meal despite the cold Cape weather. I will definitely be back 😊

We really enjoyed our visit to the Damhuis restaurant. They were very welcoming and accomodated us and happy to move us to seating where we were happiest.

The menu is good with decent variety and although not cheap you get quality food and good service for your money. It's got a nice family vibe right across from the sea with good views from tables near the front, as well as catering for kids with a kiddies menu and sandy play area outside.

We will be back in summer for sure! :)

Booking essential for special occasion days, eg Womans Day, Mothers Day as well as Sundays. Service friendly and efficient. Food always well presented and wholesome. Portions very generous. Either preceded or ended with a walk along the long open beach. A favourite!

If you're looking for a restaurant in the area this should be your first stop. I was not expecting such great food - I understand why this place is so popular! The atmosphere is great, staff very good and friendly, and a play area for the kids also. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of food being served.

Nice openair and inside eating. Good menu variety. Recommend the eisbein. The game was nice too. Kids playground and eating area on beachside quite fun. Loos small but clean.

Never had a meal here that was not at least EXCELLENT. Across the road from the Melkbos beach. So close to the beach you can taste the sea.
A truly lovely restaurant for relaxed wining and dining. Oh, and the service is 100%

Great venue. Lovely atmosphere. Sun bleeding in through coming off the sea, add beautifully to the atmosphere. Staff are friendly, very tech savvy- pricing on the meals seem reasonable. Lovely play area for the kids. Touch of class. Well done to the team

Lovely venue with great children's play area. The food is tasty and portion sizes generous. We had an issue with our food order that was handled excellently by both waiter and manager, without us having to complain. Highly recommended. We will be back!
