The owner and franchisor did a great job in renovating the place! well done Checkers! In my previous review (3yrs back) I gave 3 stars and complaint about cleanliness and busy tills - I edit my review based on the great work at the shop and all the positive changes they made. The shop is clean, spacious and designed well.
This hyper Checkers sell everything! The good advantage is that this shop has an easy access to parking. Usually it is very busy but with changes they made, the tills are not as busy as befoe. They deliver pretty fast.response / report this review -

Good variety of products and services in store. There's a money market and balloon shop. You can find everything from meat fish, food, gadgets, costumes, everything. I'm am just disappointed in their very slow service. Lines are long so yes its fancy but what's the point if we stand in long lines. Hire more staff then. Your staff looks exhausted and unhappy. Demotivated hence they are not productive.

Ordered from the Kaizen sushi counter a few times. Best sushi I've had by far. Sushi is always freshly made and served with ample servings of wasabi and ginger. Chef is flexible and accommodating. Never had the same platter twice. The R129 checkers platter is good value for money. Good, speedy and friendly service. Mondays are half price excluding the platters and definitely worth a visit

This is happening for the second time. I bought a lunch box today which cost me R29.00, which contains small tropical, mini cheddars, 1 banana, quarter cheese sandwitch and bites. Guess what, everything is stale inside. I'd expect better than that since the shop is situated inside Sandton. The sandwich has already changed the colour, there's fungi all over it.
I'm very disappointed indeed. I'd recommend anybody to buy food from y'all.response / report this review -

It's a sandton destination, and wow for the selection of cheeses, it's only a pleasure shopping, at one sandton city most affordable store, thanks checkers hypermarket, you do it with a smile.
