I often eat here when staying in the Balalaika hotel. Atmosphere is nice (it gets quite busy in the early evening) and the food is good with friendly service. A good meal for a good price.

Nice homely interior but with pool service. The manager is rude and the waiters pay no attention to customers. Will never come back or recommend this place.

The interior design is very steakhouse-esque but the food is quite good if you are looking for quality meat. Wouldn't quite recommend the mashed potatoes.

Once every month or two I treat myself to some lunch at The Bull Run. I like the old school setting and themes, and the service is generally much better than other local institutions (The Bull Run gets a lot of international customers who stay at the Balalaika Hotel). The menu is interesting and fits the theme well, and all food is cooked to your satisfaction. I must say, if you choose the mixed veg make sure you specify how you would like it or it will come crunchy (I'm not a fan of crunchy beans/broccoli and carrots). That said, their steaks are excellent, and the creamed spinach is also top notch. I'd also rate their wedges/roast potatoes over their fries. There is a bit of construction going on next door, but one barely notices if one is seated inside.

Tip' if you want 3 jars of delicious Mcain sauce' then order your steak medium. You should get a steak very well done' you can then send it back and get another too rare' which you can also send back then get a steak which is ok boom!

Great steak and well put together wine selection. There salads were also fantastic. Highly recommended. I have been going here for 15 years. Still as good as it was when it opened.

Very good food, with a great international, eclectic vibe. The last time I was there I had the steak tartar which was awesome, the best I've ever had.

The steak was bland and cooked unevenly. An inch of the steak was overlooked and the other side was undercooked. The inside was too rare. The side was small. The manager came by but didn't seem too interested in my comments on the way the steak was cooked.
Oh and the conversion rates in the menu for the currency are way off, making you think you're paying far less, of you didn't know better.response / report this review
