Need a wider veg option i do know that the name says it all but people who eat meat also gave firends that eat veg thus a option for vegetarians would be appreciated

I would recommend the oxtail as well as the lamb shank both absolutely flavoursome meat was perfectly done for both dishes. The service was brilliant, very professional. Not the most child friendly but they did a very good job to accommodate my son and they have a lovely kiddies menu over all experience was that it was very enjoyable.

Always great food and superior service with an excellent view of the sea. I've never had a bad experience here before. It's set so well that one could do pre drinks with friends there or have a night out with a special person or take the whole family for lunch or dinner.

I was treated to dinner by my significant other for my birthday. Although, Butchers Block is nestled away, an a little difficult to find if you don't know the area or hotel. This is in our opinion the best restaurant in Durban. The staff were amazing, Sam and Bheki absolutely made our night. The food was well worth the cost and adventure. Menu is varied, but specialities is definitely meat. The Prime Rib (Chef choice) and BBC Sirlion (rare) were magnificent. We'll definately be back.

Fast becoming a regular here. Service is always friendly, the staff go out of their way to accommodate patrons. Food is consistently delicious. You have to try the butcher's supreme! Red wine jus is to die for. Can't get enough, albeit a bit pricy -though for a steak house not too expensive.

Can't beat the steak here's. Situated at the Holiday Inn hotel, this restaurant often undiscovered by many, provides some of the best steaks in town and pricing is very reasonable. Consistent service and food!
