This is a great restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. The venue was spacious but with a cosy ambience and nice views of the Indian Ocean. The food was very tasty, and certainly spot-on in terms of price. The only thing that made it drop a star is that some of the portion sizes were so big, that it made it difficult to truly enjoy three courses without feeling like you had to immediately go and sleep.

Elite restaurant ranging from starters to maim meals with good grills. Good views of the sea as well are an add-on. Staff is well trained , very professional and they suit the look of the place. If you love ALL WHITE this place will be for you!

The food is amazing but you got have a three course meal because portions are small but very well presented. Desserts are to die for. Waitering staff are friendly and courteous, although hosts need some training. Overall all the praise goes to the chefs.

Really an excellent place. Beautifully prepared food. Best steakhouse in Durban. They also have extremely well priced set menus which are available 7 days a week. Upmarket atmosphere & very clean. Excellent private venue room for small office functions, which is totally separate from the main restaurant. You can even play your own music in the function room. One of our favourite places in Umhlanga.

Place was empty and a friend and I tried to get some dessert and a coffee but was told no, it was for fine dining the hostess was salty and the place was empty. Never been turned away from a restaurant before! that's a first..

After asking many people about Havana Grill and getting mixed opinions, my wife and I decided to give it a try. I order snails for starters and my wife ordered the deconstructed Prawn samosa, both were amazing, I was looking forward to our mains. I ordered Ostrich and my wife ordered Mozambiqian Baby chicken. We were not disappointed the quality of food amazing, was a bit sceptical about the blueberry sauce but wow, that's all I can say. For a baby chicken the portion was generous and the citrus flavour gave it a unique taste. Our waitress Princess was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Havana Grill please keep up the excellent work. I would definitely be back on our next trip.
