Abundance of penguins. Get there early to avoid the crowds.
Great place to get really close to the penguins, you are not permitted to leave the path in order to keep the penguins in their natural environment. Note: no selfiesticks allowed, leave them in the car or in your backpack.
I loved watching the penguins. When you walk down the boardwalk you can enter the 2nd entry. There you can walk and see the penguins up close.
It's fun to watch the penguins but the place was rather crowded and smaller than expected. Let's just hope the use the entrance fee (70ZAR) for a good cause.
The place is nice but for a 10-15 minutes visit 70 Rands/person it's too much. Better go to a near beach were it's free and at least you can have some sort of interaction with them.
You walk through a colony of penguins and come pretty close to them. The landscape is really nice as well. It can get really crowded though, which is quite a downside. If you go there don't forget to go to Boulders Beach as well. We almost missed that and we liked that even better.
