The vibe just hits different . It is always a jol. The food(pizzas) is the best and is delicious. They have a wonderful variety of drinks 🍸 😍 to choose from. If your looking for a active but also quite place to hang with friends and family I'd say go for it. Ps nice rustic vibe

We had the mushroom, jalapenos and winglet plate for starters and then for our mail meals we had burgers. The food was absolutely divine. To be honest we liked our started more than we liked our main meal, but that could be because we were famished. The food, the overall vibe and the place is gorgeous and lovely. The staff is very efficient and helpful. They cater to your needs. Will definitely go back here:)

The bar and food section of Bossa has really become gross. The tables are not wiped down, the staff are under trained and to find a waiter is really difficult. You need to search for someone to help you.. my handbag stuck to the table when moving it..
The food/restaurant service area isnt as bad but going to the bar service area has put me off completely. Really letting down your other Bossa partners

Had a very bad time .left after being there for only 30 min.staff have a bad attitude towards certain customers.we didnt gt the same welcome or treatment like there white customers and it really made me sad yhat you still gt these kind of behaviour in restaurants.needles to say it was my first and last time there i will never support or recommend them to anyonei dont know how there food taste cause they never gave me the opportunity to taste it as I was made understand that i am more then welcome to go somewhere elsejust because i asked if they sell sushi

The food was average. Worst part was the young blonde waitress who had a stinky attitude. She definitely made our experience unpleasant. Sadly I would not recommend this place to friends nor family, and will only return to your restaurant for your specials if I'm super broke.

Came from Cape Town to visit our cousin and ordered a waffle with ice cream. I got a biscuit with ice cream. The waffle was hard. My husband was without a drink for a few minutes and we were not attended to, to check if we need anything. Never coming back here again.

This very poor rating is because this Bossa Nova is really degrading each time we visit, and I'll tel you one thing, I will never ever return.
Me and my fiance know Bossa Nova for a long time, and everytime we go there we have a "ok" to "decent" time.
We even had international visitors with us, as we like Ribs and a good chat.

This time around our waiter was not trained properly. The waiter came twice willingly to our table, we needed to asked 2 other waiters to asked her for drinks check up and for some service around dinner time.

To keep the peace in this place my fiance covered up a lot of stuff just so she won't get embarrassed.

The Chef, my man, we ordered a Chicken and Veggie Salad for the lady. Why would you want to give her thick sliced raw butternut squash wedges? And if this was meant to be like this, please change your wording on the menu.
My fries was still raw, my only 2 onion rings were drenched in oil and soggy and to come to the main disappointment the 400g RIBS (R130). Man, this was bad.
No colour on the meat, fatty and burned edges cover with basting sauce. This was really a bad cut or just a lack of experience. I wanted to get the Beef Ribs, but they were out of stock. It's 01:40 in the morning and I will need to take off from work tomorrow, because I have puked for 30min. And feel sick to my stomach.

This place will never ever see me again! Ever! And I will tell everyone about my kak experience, again.

PS. Tell your staff to make 15 min visits between tables. Ffs!

O, and just to add, it's 08:02, my lady is now sick as well. Puked twice on the way to work. She needs to go to the Dr. to see if she got food poisoning. She puked while we were driving.

Please close your doors for business, I'll send the Health and Safty Inspectors too you today.

For the reader to fully understand my reason for rating this restaurant so poorly, I will explain the whole scenario

On a cold Friday night after snacks and drinks we decided to go for a quick bite just for the fun of it, not really hungry. We decided on Bossa Nova as I have always known it for a warm atmosphere and good food.

Drinks and food orders were taken with no problem. Drinks came without problems and we ordered one pizza to share. It was about 9 PM on a Friday and it wasn't really busy in the restaurant as most people were finished eating. We waited quite long for the single pizza without noticing as my wife and I was chatting and enjoying the evening.

However when the pizza eventually came it was ice cold. The cheese on top was hard and the meat and base was cold. I then struggled to get the attention of a waitress (as they were starting to clean their work areas). When one came to us she took the pizza away and said she will sort it out quickly. 5 minutes later our waitress comes to us to ask if we want it reheated or a new one made. Now at this point it was 10 PM and both of us had to get up early the next morning so we couldn't wait for a new one to be made and the option to reheat was not a good idea as the pizza had avocado on it.

I asked for the bill for the drinks as I did not wish to pay for the pizza that I asked them to take back. The waitress handled the whole situation very well, but the managers (there were 2 on duty) not so much and this is perhaps what disappointed me the most.

I feel that the manager should have acted and come to our table and not let the waitress deal with a mistake that wasn't made by her. They didn't do or say anything, didn't apologize, even as we walked right by them when walking out. All we got was a cold and almost sarcastic "Thank you". I had to bite on my lip not to say anything rude or unnecessary at that moment.

This whole event totally ruined an otherwise nice evening for me and my wife. As we had to go home hungry or perhaps hangry after looking forward to a good pizza.

I am writing today to express my utter disappointment in this franchise "Bossa Nova, Paarl". We have repeatedly experienced issues with misleading menu advertisements (at the premises) and believe that this is to lure innocent consumers into sitting down and spending more than consumers are being made aware of.

Yesterday evening, my family and I went to the Bossa Nova branch in Paarl for a ribs special. It seemed that the prices had gone up but we nevertheless placed our order and was advised by the waitress that there is a 50% discount on all beef ribs. We placed our drinks order. Nearly 45 minutes later we were then informed by our waitress that the ribs special was 25% less than the full price and not 50% like she had initially communicated to us. We were upset as if this were the case we would not have placed our drinks order. And would have left the restaurant. We raised this with the Branch Manager ( A white male who was not willing to provide his details) and was told that he could not do anything about this. He said: "My hands are tied" What kind of manager is this?

I am really disappointed with the poor service received. And the fact that the Branch Manager could not do anything to accommodate us. We were not asking for a free meal. We were asking them to honour what was initially communicated to us.

We cancelled the ribs order and paid for the drinks that we did not even consume.

Please be warned of this scam to mislead consumers into purchasing food items an lying to customers of their daily promotions.

Customers who were sitting behind us were also conned into purchasing 400g ribs for a misleading price and had to pay 75% of the full price due to the waiter only informing them of this after they had already consumed the beef ribs. How convenient.

We expect feedback on the matter mentioned above.

Nice atmosphere,great staff,good food. Just almost no options for vegetarians or simply those who dont want to eat meat all the time.
