Had my daughter's 11th crown birthday here with a princess theme. The coffee shop provided the crowns for the guests and the girls got to decorate their own cup cakes by choosing their own toppings and decorations to finish the cakes off. Parents get to stay and order from the menu while the kids party. Also has a play area. I personally recommend Annica's not only for their delish cakes but also for the wonderful service and a good venue.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch, especially with kids. Safe, secure outdoor play area in full view of the tables. Lovely cakes and pastries. Perfect spot for baby showers. Has wifi.

For my mother’s birthday I ordered a cake from Annika’s cake the owner Annika took the order , I was charged R890 for a 20cm round cake. ! I gave exact orders for what I wanted it to look like she explained that the cost of a dozen of roses is expensive to put on the cake and that it would add to the cost . I agreed to go ahead with the décor. When I arrived on the day of my mom’s birth to collect the cake , I noticed that there were only 3roses as oppose to a dozen that I paid for . And the décor was not looking like the cake I ordered. Strawberries juices falling on a white icing. I was not happy with the décor at all and to find out later that the cake was stale . When I complained to a lady called Cathy she said if you want we can give your money back . Seriously!! Is this how you solve a problem and not only that it was 4pm where else would I find a birthday cake for my mother . I always have been buying cake from them for the office and for them not to take that into consideration and practically say either you take it or leave it . This all shows how they don’t care at all about the customers . No matter how many customers you have. It always starts with one leaving before you realize that you no longer have all.
Then waited for an hour for Cathy to come and tell me they will give me R90.00 discount. Practically I paid R800 for a stale cake, 20cm round with a poor poor décor and disappointed that I had to show my mother that cake as her birthday cake .

Staff is friendly and helpful.
A must for any high tea birthday party, baby shower or just relaxing with friends in a place with a cozy atmosphere.

Annicas came highly recommended and I eagerly ordered 2 dozen macarons. Oh man was I so disappointed. Especially since it was for a baby shower. I can categorically state it was the worst I've ever eaten. The fact that more than half was wasted said it all.

Great simple shop with open cake making area where pastry chefs and students can be seen making amazing cakes. Cappuccino tastes really good. A little hot and a little full. Good foam. Good flavour and presentation. Still to taste if the looks of the cakes match the taste.
