I normally visit around 5 on the afternoon, at that time is when the City run or off people as everyone is on the way home.

The bar is taking a deep breath to get ready for the evening where thy will enthral everybody at the theater again.

I love the Johnny Gold Weisz beer and The Alexander Bar is one of the places that stock this draft beer 🍻 an absolute peach of a place

Good beer, good wine, great drink selection, awesome hosts, in a vibrant location, with a theatre upstairs What's not to love?

Feel at home in the concrete jungle. Friendly waiters who regularly check up to see if you would like anything else. Great selection of food and wine at great prices.

Brilliant décor and features like classic telephones which you can use to order; or when you listen to the custom made humourous voice prompts even subscribe to their newsletter via the phone!

Art on the walls available for sale, but this isn't where the culture stops. The theatre upstairs features great local talent every night. Watched a great many shows there and enjoyed every single one.

Can be a little cramped, especially when seated near the bar but overall a nice atmosphere and interesting quirky decor. Quiz night on Wednesdays is a lot of fun. The working phones on the tables are a great gimmick! Can call the bar to place orders or even other tables! The drinks menu is large and comprehensive with a nice wine selection and offers a wide range of cocktails, classic and other more interesting varieties. The food menu is not so large but has enough variety and most meals are simple, well thought out and tasty. The cheese and meat board is to die for!

Wonderful atmosphere. Nice collection of cocktails. Food is not great; my cheeseburger was at best mediocre - avoid. Theater is tiny / intimate and the show was top notch.

Awesome atmosphere, cool venue, intimate performance viewing. Food was okay but as it's always so busy, the service is not the best. They need more waiters. But I would go back in a heartbeat.

Having attended a number of shows at this venue, I recommend seeing a play, grabbing a drink and deciding for yourself whether the venue is to your taste. My friends and I have consistently enjoyed the venue's entertainment offerings. The food is decent, but could be better.

I was really pleasantly surprised by the whole production. The play Sarajevo was so real, raw and passionate, once it ended I found myself just wanting more and more. My partner and I were so impressed, we will definitely be back to enjoy some more world class talent.

Such a wonderful quirky Pub! Lots of thought was put into making it stand out from the rest of the bars. Love the old fashioned phones where you can call the bar to place a drinks / food order. Lovely cozy feel too. One of my favourites for sure!

A quaint restaurant / bar. We went to watch a live performance which was great. The supper beforehand was mediocre and the 'theater' a bit hot and stuffy. I may be back, but not for the food.

I love this place! The interior is so fun and everytime I bring someone new here, they absolutely love the phones! And awesome selection of drinks and snacks. The service is always incredible and staff are so friendly.

Is it a bar ? Is it a restaurant ? Is it a theatre? Well yes to all three .This charming venue hosts old fashioned conversation downstairs and cutting edge theatre upstairs .If you are looking for young theatre talent this is the theatre you will find it at.

The only outside section is the smoking areaso no fresh air for you if you don't like smokers around. Cocktail out of a box. Other than that, service is good, staff is kind and helpfull. Very unique experience.
