Zoo Miami is a fun place to play with the family for the day. There are multiple ways to get around including bike rentals and tram. There are cooling stations and misting fans along the way. We love the tigers, elephants and feeding the giraffes. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We ate at the Oasis Cafe. The burgers are actually good and there are healthy options like salads. Throughout the park, the trees are labeled. It is fun to learn not only about the animals, but the names of the tropical foliage. The new flamingo pool is much nicer and it looks like a new restaurant featuring local food is under construction. There is also a nice gift shop with hand-crafted merchandise that would make great gifts. We hope you will enjoy your visit as much as we did!

I love this zoo. It's very large and takes a long amount of time to see it all. If you don't like to walk you can rent a bike or take the rail. There's not a huge variety for food but I usually take my own. There's fun things for kids to do besides just looking at animals, the petting zoo is great and so is the splash pad. I always bring my cup you can purchase there for $1 refills too.

Beautiful zoo with well-maintained animals. The aviary is amazing, as are some of the other areas. All of the enclosures are large and the animals always have enrichment activities. The programs are well put together and informative. The prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would go back again.

Definitely a must GO for any family. The Miami Zoo is always renovating, so that family's have a great. Plenty of things to do and animals to see. The outdoor theater hosts a lot of fun animal shows. The employees are friendly, professional and knowledgeable within their area of study or held position. The food is not out of this world but it's good and it'll get the job done.

Me and my family live close by and love the zoo.. We enjoy our family outings here and my children love it. We decided and got a membership.. Now we just go straight to the gate any day we want.. The new addition of the Everglades is awesome.. The wet- splash zones are great for those hot summer days I do feel they should open at 9AM instead of 10AM.. 7 hours is just not enough to take it all and really go through all the zoo.

Zoo Miami makes for a good day out with the kids. We spent six hours here at a relatively quiet time so there were no special events on, and it made for a very quiet day encountering only a few other people.

The cycles are a little expensive, but make for an interesting way to get around if it's not too hot. The monorail also offers a nice alternative transport, although the announcements were not all that clear (dodgy PA speaker).

Personally, I would recommend allowing time to cycle around Asia and Africa once (about 2hrs with short stops), grabbing some lunch at a cafe (Carousel is better placed for time with kids, although the not-yet-open Flamingo Cafe looks interesting), and then getting on and off the monorail to see the animals once more.

Loved!! So many interesting and beautiful animals. The zoo is huge so I recommend very light clothes, hat and if you are not planning to spend a lot of money bring some snacks and water with you. The average of prices for food and drinks are $3.00 a bottle of water, $6.00 a bottle of bud light, ice 🍦 starts at $4.00. I had a great experience feeding a giraffe. It cost $5 and I do not regret 😍😍😍

A wonderful experience when in Miami. You get so close to the animals even though it seems as most of them do have enough space to move. I really enjoyed the stay here. Some stuff can be experienced by kids and even has a touch me sign. My kids loved it. And for sure there are pink flamingos around and some crocodiles. Come and see. Lots of Parking and can get pretty crowded after noon.

An amazing zoo. One of the best I've been to in my life. Animals seem very well cared for and as comfortable as they can be while in captivity. Could use more fun, free events and more frequent shielding from the sun, which can be punishing during a long walk. A beautiful experience, but could be more comfortable for the general customer who does not want to pay extra fees.

We visited the zoo yesterday, and it was a nice experience for the kids. The truth is that it would've been nice to cold water fountain in the property. In this hot weather, maintenance should make sure all the Ice machines, soda machines and refreshments are running good for the visitors. The reason I say this, is because the ICE machines was out of service and when we finally found a water fountain, the water was warm. On the other hand, having a few exhibits with A/C in differents places of the property was great. But other than that, the experience was enjoyable and the kids had a blast.

I'm an annual member for the past three years. My kids love to visit there often just to play in the water park. The animal displays have a great variety of information, and often you can see a zookeeper there to answer your questions. The new addition of the Everglades is very educational and interesting.

This is a great zoo. The animals look well cared for. It was blistering hot when I visited and we could have really used those misters around the park to be working. Unfortunately, 90% of the ones I stopped at didn't work. I don't know the usual times of the food kiosks around the park, but it would have been nice to have had a couple of those open.

Love this Zoo. Mission Everglades is so interesting and fun it makes you realize how much wild life we have around us in Florida. My 4 yr old daughter loves going and seeing all the animals. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. Best thing to do is try to go when the exhibit is being feed The interactions are amazing.

I would give it 4.5 stars! The only problems I have are there are not a lot of places to eat, and the vending machines through out the park should be able to take cards. Also, the bathrooms are scattered and hard to find when you really have to go. I LOVE this zoo, it's huge with a lot to see! I love the animals and the scenery. It really has some cool attention to detail, I love the Amazon and the new Everglades exhibits. I will be returning soon!! Great place!!

The zoo is great and it is HUGE. Come prepared to walk and prepared with sunscreen. Don't come hungry because there aren't a lot of snacks along the way--especially if 90% of the stands are closed like when we were there. Additionally, the majority of the zoo is in the sun--just be prepared--there's nowhere in the zoo to buy sunscreen!

I found a discount code for their website by googling "zoo Miami discount." I'd recommend doing this because we saved quite a bit and got monorail and feeding passes for free.

    Overall good experience! Would recommend!
