I stayed from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon here as part of a Chaplains venue. It is a wonderful place to stay with nice rooms and a lovely lobby and restaurant. It is well located to a lot of downtown amenities, most of which are in walking distance. My only gripe is the lack of free parking. They share parking with Embassy Suites across the street and it's a public garage that costs $10 a night (I believe).
I would absolutely stay here again! The amenities are pleasant and the free internet was more than capable for me to do work during the evenings. The pool is nice, but it's in a drafty room and it isn't heated. This was a bit chilly as we stayed there in early December. Overall, I was well pleased!

Beautiful, clean hotel. Staff was very friendly and responsive. Room was just as expected with no problems. Would definitely stay here again.

Was a brief work assignment here at the Marriott. These rooms are small for the price asking. The rooms looks mediocre. Had a studio look with a hallway leading to your small room next to a medium closet. Nice TV and all the commodities. You would expect a bit more from the brand name if you catch my drift people. The food served was delicious an filling.

I have been staying at this hotel off and on fairly consitently for the last year. The evening concierge attendant is superb. She goes above and beyond to be attentive to the guest and ensure the experience is top notch. The front desk team is also very nice. They know my name and are always accomodating to any requests I have.

Staff (male) at front desk stole my money. I forgot to get my receipt. Gave him $140.00 in cash. When it was time to check out, I had a balance of $137.some change. No one there did nothing to help me. Marriott went into my account and took extra money. This will not go unnoticed.

Our first room was not in good condition (broken closet door, TV didn't work) but the staff was good about moving us and the new room was fine. Excellent service from the staff but the hotel loses one star for room condition. Someone should have noticed that the closet doors had fallen off the rails and fixed that before booking the room again.

The Marriott was wonderful, truly. This was our first time staying at a hotel with our young son and the staff made that experience so special for him. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was warm and welcoming. The room was perfect. We even enjoyed the pool for a short bit. Our best experience was with the wonderful valet staff. One of the young men, even gave our son a toy while we were waiting on our car. They knew my son by name by the time we left and I felt like they really cared about helping us. It was one of the most enjoyable hotel stays that I have had in many years. We will definitely be back.
    Thanks,
    JE

We just spent the weekend at this property and we highly recommend it. We had a lovely King Bedroom combined with a hospitality suite where we got together with friends from different parts of the country who had traveling into W-S this weekend. The accommodations were excellent, housekeeping was spot on (we had groups into our suite each evening and they did an incredible job in cleaning up, etc), front desk team was awesome (polite, informative, helpful and responsive to every question). We had breakfast in the restaurant each morning and found the buffet loaded with excellent, nutritious food combined with excellent service. We had a dinner party in the Graze Restaurant for nearly 30 people. Excellent experience. Food was great, service exceptional and we were made to feel so welcome. As we had a couple of requests prior to arriving at the hotel, I communicated directly with Stephanie Wilkins | Front Office Manager. She was not only professional, recognized and appreciated my lifetime Platinum status and did everything humanly possible to make our weekend special. With all of these factors put together, we will definitely return to the Winston-Salem Marriott Hotel and highly recommend this to anyone considering travel into this area.

Rooms were spacious, opulent, with breath taking views. It felt like a spa day being there. They have an excellent restaurant/bar inside hotel which is truly classy with affordable prices. I will visit this spectacular hotel each year!! Thank you guys for your incredible service.

Was at the Marriott for a conference. Didn't stay the night but the service for the catered lunch was stellar and the food was incredible. We appreciated the rooms always being set up well in advance of any meetings and well stocked with water. It was easy to find a staff member to help with any questions or requests. Overall very conference friendly and a great experience.

Room is nice, however the age of the hotel is showing. Staff is not very friendlyany will walk pass you after looking dead at you. Parking is convenient and there is a sky bridge to use.

This place has been going down hill and fast. We have been staying here for years and over the years it seems Marriott is just looking to milk the property. The rooms are old and dingy now. Almost every time something is wrong either the air conditioning system is not working or bathtub won't drain. What also extremely irritating is that they have no outlets on the work table nor do they have any usb ports. I am pretty disappointed with this Marriott because it's in need of a serious overhaul but Marriott seems to be more interested in squeezing every penny out of it at the cost of their guests. :( disappointing. We will not be staying here any more.

Friendly staff, nice proximity to restaurants, decent beds. The room was hot and will not cool down to the temp shown on thermostat. Moved me once and was still no cooler, failed to send housekeeping to clean the room,. In much need of renovating in bathrooms. Definitely not what I would expect from a Marriott and definitely not for the elevated price charged.

The conference area was spacious, with adequate waiting area, a good sized screen, good sound and a good atmosphere. Rest rooms were available and clean. I've water and coffee were available. The negatives: auditorium seating would have been nice, drivers not hanging out at the front entrance was not attractive, signage telling the location or a greeter would have been nice. Uncaffinated tea would have been an attractive option to coffee.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I felt like a VIP from the moment I walked in the door. The decor is exquisite. My only complaint is that the business center charges 50 cents per side of paper! I walked 3 blocks down the road to get what I needed for my presentation at print shop and paid $50. It would have cost $400 at Marriott business center.
