I thought this place was very well run and quite safe.
That being said, the building itself was fairly run down. Wallpaper was old and peeling in some places. The caulk in the bathroom was cracked and a bit mildewy. It just seemed a bit dated all around.response / report this review -

Great hotel, especially for the money, nothing fancy but very bright and modern inside. My king-size bed was comfortable, room was very clean, and the free breakfast was decent enough. Staff was extremely friendly and it seems to be in a safe neighborhood. Was very pleased with my experience and would definitely stay here again.

The Wingate by Wyndham Grand Blanc location was amazing. I went for a business conference and the room was great (although warm; no air). The hotel staff was helpful and friendly.

I work for Cottage Inn Pizza and deliver here frequently. Everytime I've delivered there the staff has been very friendly and helpful. It also seems fairly clean there from the areas I've seen.

The hotel was clean. They let us check in early at 1pm. The room was nice and the A.C. was strong. It's right off the freeway. Only complaint is that the hot tub was super chlorinated and the water in the pool was too warm. I'd still stay here again.

The location off the freeway made the place easy to find. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean, good set-up. Glad the A/C worked because we had morning sunlight.

Clean rooms, reliable conditions of fixtures. One front desk staff member could improve their demeanor toward guests. I would like to say that Sherri (front desk) and Devante (maintenance) are amazing staff! The two ladies that I saw that took care of the breakfast area work hard, are kind and keep things neat and running smoothly. Regarding the public bathrooms, you can't get your hands under the faucet and the soap dispensers do not work. Lastly, I stayed in the same room 3 weeks apart. There was a small issue with the fan in the bathroom that did not get fixed. Not sure if it just hasn't yet or what. Overall, I would come here again because of the cleanliness and the mostly friendly staff.

Awesome experience! The staff was very kind and helpful. As a musician traveling and my first time in Michigan, I was greeted by Brandon, the front desk attendant, whom assisted my mother and I in getting a room. The rooms were clean and updated, I was impressed. Great price and with the meal included, well it makes the day start right. Renee and Scott are also kind staff personal in Grand Blanc. I will be returning, and have told many people of my great stay in Michigan via Brandon and the staff at Wingate! All the best, The Lacy family

The best value for money in the Flint area. Had a great stay here. Even though we checked in quite late in the evening, Teresa was very welcoming and accommodating, taking time to explain the amenities and location of our room in a friendly and clear manner. The room itself was great, with the only possible complaint being the grout in the bathrooms being a bit old and worn. Super-comfy bed and interesting little pillows. The pool and jacuzzi were very well-maintained and large. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful, with tons of variety. After breakfast, Dennis really helped us out with some arrangements we needed to make. One final point: this hotel is slightly south of Flint proper, and is NOT on the Flint water system, so there's no worries about water quality.
