Have been here a couple of times now. It's quiet but that's because it seems abandoned. We like it quiet, the trail is great and the beach is nice. The development seems like it was beautiful originally. However, now very minimally maintained overall. Mattress needs to be replaced, cleaning needs to be done, especially in the shower (although they charge for it). Most concerning were the roaches. Found them walking across the counters. We had to zip our luggage at all times so not to bring them home. Also very concerning is that they walk into your condo whenever they feel, unannounced. No privacy. This happened each time we stayed, twice the last time. Great health club on property and love the town. Will go back but definitelty won't stay here.
Love this beach and area. Great walking trails, great bike paths, nice boardwalks, well manicured, nice beach, quiet area, beautiful scenery.
This place is awesome! We spend our winters at this resort and it never disappoints. Jan/Feb is pretty quiet, starts to get much busier in March (families on spring break). The boardwalks and paths are always well maintained & the beach, well, it is St. Joe Bay!!
Beautifully landscaped paved walkways and boardwalks to beachperfect place for walks with our dog or bike rides. Great place to go in evening to see sunset or walk the beach.
It really is absolutely beautiful place and we really enjoyed riding our bikes and spending time alone on the beach but we love to go out at night and there was virtually no where to go it was kind of weird because it's such a gorgeous area we have a house not far from there so it wasn't a big deal to go home and cook but would have liked to had a great dinner out someplace one night
Have been coming here for years. Used to be really nice and well maintained. It has never been real busy though. Restaraunt was only open for a short time years ago. They're still charging as if all the amenities are here, they are not. Grounds and pool are dirty. Probably won't stay here again.
We visited WindMark Beach and it seemed like an abandoned movie set. There was very little going on and very few people. The beach was rather narrow and unimpressive. We thought the place was a little eerie and looked like a failed social experiment.
Quiet spot for the whole family
I was intrigued by this place when I drove in.. Soon enough , an eerie feeling took over.. What looked like a nice community, was a virtual ghost town. empty storefronts and locked up and abandoned restaurant .. What's the story here?? i googled Windmark and found very vague stories covering the rise and fall of this development.. What a shame.
Great place and great old style beach natural
Beautiful place. Such nice beaches. Only thing missing from the picture that we didn't like was all the local places to eat in the towns were closed at nights and by like 8 at night.
Devoid of people, but gorgeous!
