Temporarily closed for repairs. Otherwise, love the food. 11-5-16
Good food. Good time.
The view is nice, parking easy, and the service okay. The food, however, is simply okay. For the price I expected at least, say, cheese cake factory fare. A nice place to go once to be honest.
My husband and I were in the area from out of town. We came in on a Saturday night and ate up in the Shellfish bar, the main dinning room was closed, the menu was limited but we ordered clam chowder, shrimp scampi, and rib eye. The clam chowder was just ok, the ship scampi was a bowl of over cooked elbow macaroni in a very bland garlic sauce with about 5 medium sized shrimp. The strange this was that one shrimp was butterflied real nice and tasted great but the other 4 looked like they were used for a shrimp cocktail and still had their shells and tails on. My husband had the Rib Eye and he asked for it Medium rare. It came way over cooked, well done, so he sent it back. Then it came rare but so chewy he could hardly eat it. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is for a wonderful view of the harbor and the good service. The waitress was extra attentive a friendly and the manager apologized a couple of times for the mistakes. All this restaurant needs it a good chef and it would be great!
food was cold, spinach/crab dip was more like clam chowder with a few pieces of spinach and a piece of crab. lobster was rubbery, Shrimp had no taste and old. coconut rice was just white rice with a few flakes of coconut in it. The only good thing was that the manager comped our 5 meals and we left.
Average food, tourist prices. Won't be back. Asked if I could have some bread at dinner and was told I would be charged for it. Spicy shrimp cocktail was good. They have a band Sundays 3pm-7pm, so if you don't mind not hearing what your dinner companion says, by all means, go during this time (sarcasm implied). Save your money.
