Didn't feel like I was treated properly could of done a blood test or Something. I went in because I have urine problems and sore back as well as chills. They checked my urine and sent me out the door. They didn't even check my back where my kidneys are. They were not busy at all. The nurse was nice but the doctor had scrappy patient care.

Terrible medical service, poor treatment. I went after a motorcycle wreck in Nov. 2016.
The first issue is even with X-Rays they missed injury in my hand. I was told to take a anti-inflammatory. A week late my primary physician spots damage. Long story short in the week of trying to use my hand more damaged occured, I ended up going to a specialist and could not use my hand for months. They really dropped the ball. Terrible service. If I ever have a heart attack, I hope the ambulance takes me ANYWHERE BUT THIS ER.
The second issue: Their staff took down my primary healthcare and my motorcycle insurance. I did not have PIP on my motorcycle policy, but my primary health insurance would cover it. They billed my motorcycle insurance anyway, and now I am having to fight with a collections agency for a bill they never should have sent on, if they had contacted the right insurer for my coverage!

To recap- I did not get sufficient treatment, and they screwed billing up.

I came as a walk-in, experiencing severe abdominal pain. They got me in immediately, listened to me closely and quickly set up the needed tests. I was cared for, and treated, with the utmost respect. A superb group!

So disappointed. I thought I was getting excellent care, when in all actuality, I was put aside because the ER doctor chose to be lazy. The only positive from this experience was the zero wait time. Guess that should've spoken for itself.

ALWAYS a good experience whenever we unfortunately end up here! Very quick ER services with really great staff. Have NEVER had a problem or issue here, from what I've seen they love what they do and do it with knowledge and care. I recommend this ER over ALL the others in town.

Today I had my first experience at Wesley Woodlawn Hospital. I will never go back. Ever. If I suffered a gunshot would outside of the hospital and had no vehicle I would hitch a ride to ANY other hospital. I went in with a very painful case of pancreatitis. I've had pancreatitis several times before, so I knew what was wrong before I even got there. It is extremely painful. Read the symptoms. Treatment for this illness consist of being taken off of all solid foods, and only consuming small amounts of water and other clear liquids, provided your enzymes are low enough to handle even that light diet. Treatment also consists of pain management. I am not a drug user. I do not drink alcohol. Ever. Yet I was treated as if I came in just to seek out narcotic pain medicine. I was given one small dose of Dilaudid (which did help blunt the pain a little) and that was it. They ASKED me if I wanted to be admitted (what kind of medical facility gives you an option when you clearly need medical attention) in which case I told them no. Upon leaving, the PA, who clearly had no idea what she was prescribing, wrote me a prescription for 12 5mg Norcos. I was prescribed a better painkiller when I had my bottom wisdom teeth pulled. On top of that, I found out afterward that Norcos would only exacerbate an inflamed pancreas. Seriously? To say I was astounded at the complete and total incompetency of this facility is a wild understatement. I will however, say there was one super sweet nurse by the name of Cindy who seemed to know what she was doing, but unfortunately her shift ended right after I got there. Maybe I had a bad experience because it was the day before Independence Day. Maybe it was because everyone there didn't want to be working. Maybe the hospital does get a lot of drug seekers. But I am a very clean cut, fit, 28 year old white man who works full time and has his life together. You would think they could tell the difference. I arrived in pain, I left in more pain, and to add to that pain, I left with a very large bill in hand. I could have handled the bill of an ER visit had I gotten some sort of treatment. But the way I see it, I spent a couple grand to find out the level of my lipase enzyme. I will forever wonder the cost of that lab work, as the hospital probably made an insane amount of profit for my "treatment." In any case, I feel I should have been treated better, and I hope if the circumstances ever arrive that I have to go back to this hospital, things go a little more smoothly.

More personal here than the main campus. And cardiology is really the thing here.

My doctor was excellent. To add to a GREAT experience the nursing staff
which was also excellent. Such a good hospital makes me feel good about living very close by in Wichita. Frankly I was surprised to find such a fine hospital in a small city.
