l had a great experience with all areas of hospital that I came into contact with starting with admissions, nursing, surgery, recovery, and dietary. Everyone who had a part in my care was pleasant, caring and did everything to keep me safe and as comfortable as possible. I am very pleased. Highly recommend!
all the other cardiac cathed folks got wheel chaired out not me told i could go walked right out under my own power not one nurse offered to help they just sat there worst care ever
Had a wonderful experience went in early morning (4:30) I called them letting them know I was coming in and I'm 23 weeks pregnant and they told me they would do what they could for me and my pain. I was thankful for all the help the doctor seemed upset that I was in there pregnant as he told me multiple times not to come back pregnant because he can't help me as much. But thankful for all they did for me and my growing family.
7/6/2017. 7:15pm check-in. Don't waste your time!!!!!. You'd be better off going to Wesley Woodlawn. #1 HIPPA VIOLATION: When I checked in, the Caucasian registration clerk was asking for my personal information, speaking loudly across ER waiting room. After 2 hours waiting in my assigned room after the nurse took my vitals. ER doctor came in told the nurse, "you have to help me" and off they go. Didn't hear from anyone for an hour so I asked to leave, Ooooo now here comes the doctor and nurse. #2 HIPPA VIOLATION: The ER doctor and Registration clerk at different times explained to me regarding a critical patient as they both pointed to the room. I asked to leave again and I was told that I would have to pay for the room per ER doctor. Ummm What??
The African American security guard knocked on my door x 2. I did not respond, he opened the door, which is #3 HIPPA VIOLATION. The security guard told me to sign a paper so I could discharge myself. The security guy said," you need to leave, we need this room for a person with a broken neck". Just wow! Ratio was NOT 4:1. Yes, I agree that their was a patient more critical than myself, I understand. Communication would have helped the situation. Kudos to the African American nurse who explained that they could treat me but it wouldn't be anytime soon. I really had high hopes for this hospital. In my opinion KMC hospital is not professional on any level.
Went in for staples in my daughter's head. Staff was very friendly and we were in and out pretty quick, but it is super expensive! Next time, we will just go to another hospital that won't charge outrageous fees for a few staples!
Rude nurses and doctor in ER. Didnt even fix problem. Still left with stabbing abdominal pain. Would not recommend. They were amazing when they first opened not sure what happened. Followed up with my doctor and ended up with a kidney stone which showed on ct they did but told me something completely different. Dont trust Dr Rundell.
I recently had a successful prostate surgery by Dr George Zacharia. This facility is first rate and my quality of care couldn't have been better. PreOp, surgical staff, Doctors, recovery, and floor nurses were ALL EXCELLENT!!!! Even the food was good. 😊👍
My brother had kidney stones removed and the Dr. Was great, his name was Dr.Albert., the nurse in recovery was terrible and put him off when we begged for pain control. I think her name was Jessica but I'm not sure. All was fine but nothing but lazy nurses. And if the Dr Bledsoe (below) is the one from Galatians heart hops. He should not be able to practice anywhere. He helped kill my mom 2yrs ago by saying she abused 911and just wanted pain med. He said she had a pulled muscle. She had stage 4 lung cancer with lyric lesions in her hip and died a month later.God I pray this ain't that Dr. Bledsoe
Dr. Bledsoe, should not work for such a great place. I have had great service up until my last visit to the ER that included Dr. Bledsoe. I will leave my story out unless the hospital admin takes care of the problem!!
My experiences weren't great at Kansas Medical Center. The staff was extremely rude, and didn't seem to care about the patient. They then need to learn how to bill properly. They billed for my sons visit directly to me, and didn't even file to our insurance. I called and gave them our insurance information once again, and still received bills. Eventually I got a bill from collections. I'm not happy with this facility, nor will I ever return!!! Beware, and take the extra drive to a Wichita hospital!!
