Actually, I went to the Olathe, KS, ER for a kidney stone. There was no waiting and they took me right back. Everyone, including my nurse, my doctor, the lady who took me to imaging, the entire staff, were super friendly, totally competent and professional, and were able to help me get through the process as easily as possible. I can't stress enough how well I was treated and how satisfied I am with my experience. My thanks to them all.
After a serious injury I was treated immediately and spent little time in the ER. I was sent to the floor pending orthopedic surgery and assigned to a very well appointed private room. Great service and a professional staff insured my comfort and prepped me for surgery. That's the extent of my memory.. I highly recommend OPRMC
The nurses and staff were amazing when we were there to deliver our first baby. They do everything they can do make you feel comfortable and happy. Food is actually delicious! Nurses are amazing, truly don’t know what we would have done without them! So thankful to have delivered here!
If it would be possible to score it negative stars I would. Beyond horrible experience from my daughter spending the worst 2 weeks in ICU(I think the Jackson County Jail provides better healthcare) to adding insult to injury when it comes to the crooked billing(and I have great health insurance!). I express my fear and worry anytime someone I know mentions the fact they are considering a stay there or they have a relative staying there. Do your research. Avoid this hospital. My daughter did do Outpatient Therapy there only because they had a therapist that specialized in what she needed and it was close to home. The Outpatient Therapy was great. but it does not include nursing so I knew she would be safe. There is not enough time or space to explain the numerous problems that we faced and after I shared my story through social media I came to find out I clearly was not the only one.
I was so very sick and I received such good care. The nurses and doctors showed great empathy and consideration towards me in a timely and thoughtful manner. I believe it was one of the worst times in my life as I came very close to dying, however, the entire staff from the emergency room, to the cafeteria staff as well as cleaning staff, nurses and doctors took excellent care of me. I'm so glad we chose this hospital for my needs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I'm alive today because of you.
I had the BEST experience with labor and delivery. I was hospitalized on bed rest for 5 days before delivering and the entire nursing staff was so amazing and caring. They even convinced my doctor to let me go outside once a day if my blood pressure was low enough! The food was really good and every employee was just great. The social worker set me up with magazines, coloring books, and crafts to keep me busy during those long days. I will definitely be using this hospital for delivering future children too!
I couldn't have asked for a better staff of nurses and doctors! This was our first baby and we were a bit scared of delivery! My labor was HARD and I couldn't have made it through without my night nurse, Brandie! She was the absolute best and let me know she was here with me during the rough pjarts of labor. Dr. Weaver was my OB and she is the best of the best. I was so lucky to have my actual doctor there at the time of delivery! If we end up having a baby number two, we will have the same doctor and deliver at the same hospital!
Stopped in to have a lab draw. Registration was quick and easy. The staff was very friendly. The lab tech was very informative and pleasant to work with. I was in and out pretty quickly, overall experience was good.
I am a 20-something with a chronic condition, had just moved to the area and hadn't yet found a local specialist. Whenever I was experiencing some issues related to my condition (and high levels of anxiety) I stopped here for help. The doctor told me outright that they thought I was just experiencing some anxiety when I described chest pains, but performed more than one test to confirm it, which is all well and good--except the end bill for not being admitted was through the roof. I tried to contest the cost, filed the paperwork, submitted my financial records, and despite being legitimately deserving of the debt forgiveness for a situation where they did nothing to help, I was denied. I don't live with my parents/rely on anyone else for financial support. As per my chronic condition, I've been stuck in medical debt for the past 2 years and I am doing my very best. I can't even start paying off my student loans yet because of this stupid medical debt cycle I find myself in, and my experience at this facility has only exacerbated that situation for me. Yes, I have health insurance through my employer and I work a full time job plus I have a second job doing freelance work. I bust my ass--and it's not for fancy clothes, vacations, organic food, or housing in the coolest part of town. It's to pay my rent, chip away at my student loans, and to pay my medical bills. So, thanks for nothing.
I have lab work performed monthly at the hospital. The phlebotomists are very skilled and make me feel as if I am their favorite patient. I appreciate their attention to detail and their concern for my well being. They always are kind and considerate.
From beginning to end, my experience was comfortable and reassuring. I dealt with warm but professional people the entire time there.
I've been going to this hospital for medical needs from family practice, ob/gyn, to cardiology for 16 years. I had my baby here as well. Love this medical facility and all who work here.
I had to go to the ER yesterday. The staff immediately responded. They not only calmed my situation, but showed all the care in the world. I appreciate your help!!
My husband and I had a beautiful and healthy baby boy 13 months ago. We loved our experience there. The delivery room was awesome and spacious but they actual room was little and didn't have many chairs for visitors. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and in good shape.
Husbands: Bring pillows!
Every time I drive by my heart jumps because it was one of the happiest days of our lives.
Very pleased with the experience.
ADDING to this in 2016:
We had a little girl on January, 29th 2016. Once again the service was EXCELLENT! The staff was helpful as can be. We were once again extremely pleased with our experience.
