They aim to keep your business. I like that about them at Welsh Pawn Shop
I just love there jewerly. And my boyfriend is actually coming in there to buy me a engaggment ring from there and i cant hardly wait to get it.
This pawn shop is great! It is the cleanest pawn shop I've ever been in, and so well lit! The staff was great, the prices are amazing and the loan values are the best in town. I have never sold gold at such a high price and bought it so dirt cheap, how do they do it? The gun deals are amazing, new ones significantly under MSRP and the used ones are so affordable I felt like I stole it! The girl with the black hair really knows her stuff about guns and gold! When I have to pawn things they always work with me on extra time, and they are always pleasant and having a good time! The prices at first glance seem high but they always make smokin good deals! I would definitely shop there again!
Not bad, I've been to a couple of locations a couple times each. Twice I've gotten really good buys on guitars there. Of course bot times they needed some setup and work but, hey, it's a pawn shop. On the phone they've been great and the guys I've dealt with have been great.
Once in the downtown shop on Broughton though I had a look at a firearm that had some major issues- pitting and rust INSIDE the barrel. Not only was it overpriced for a used gun in good shape but it didn't look safe to fire and the woman at the counter seemed a little defensive when I pointed out that they probably ought to take it off the shelf and have it inspected.
Again though, it's a pawn shop. Buyer beware, most of the stuff ended up there because its previous owner didn't care about it all that much.
I was really pleased with my experience at this pawn shop. The lady with black hair was extremely helpful and very friendly. I give an A for customer service and will highly recommend to ask of my friends.
I went to Welsh today 11/24 to pawn my semi automatic handgun which they were able to take and give me a reasonable amount for (though the same amount as other pawn shops). However, I decided not to pawn with them.
Upon entering the store, a woman was rude and cold. She didn't smile once and didn't seem pleased when I began to make small talk. She looked at me as though I were some criminal. Not even a "Hi, how are you" when I walked in. The prices are unreasonably high, especially for items that aren't brand new. The staff is unprofessional and they could sure use a lesson or two in customer service (I can't speak for the gentlemen working there as they didn't greet/say one word to me). The woman on the other hand had the most disgusting attitude. Extremely arrogant and made me feel like I was bothering her as I approached the counter. I'd rather spend 10 hours dealing with a clerk at the DMV as opposed to returning to Welsh's Pawn Shop and dealing with such a person. AVOID THIS STORE
