We had a wonderful experience I will be going back with other people too. It's only $4 to see a movie, you won't find that anywhere else.

It's very clean and the people are very friendly. Try it you'll like it

The perfect place for introverts who don't like crowded theaters plus the huge bonus of 4 dollar tickets and decently priced consessions. It's an old theater but I find it appealing. Love to go here.

A great place to watch a movie. Downstairs has very comfortable seating, upstairs is "period" to when the theater was builtmakes you appreciate the downstairs.

Always easy parking close to front door.

We drive from SW Raleigh and find it quicker and easier than going to Brier creek or north Raleigh.

Doesn't have new release first run films, but if you don't have to be the first to see a movie this is the place to go.

Historic theater with great prices ($4 admission, $10 concessions gets you a lrg drink, candy and popcorn!) and super friendly staff. Very clean and we'll kept. Remember when going to a movie was fun and affordable? That's What This Place is.

I love going here because of the history of the building. The staff is always pleasant, popcorn good. I rarely go o another theatre now that I've been here. It's old timey and the seats are comfortable and recline. I love coming here!

This is a small town style theater that shows recently released but not new release movies. Ticket prices are about $4 per ticket and concession prices are relatively cheap compared to other major theater brands. They have two downstairs screens with recently renovated seats and two upstairs screens that are smaller with older seats. A really good deal for a good cheap night out. Definitely worth checking out.

I love the vibe of this old theater, it reminds me of my movie-going youth. Both times I've been there, though, some kind of technical difficulty has occurred. (Curtains not drawn all the way back and three major stutter sessions) Don't let that discourage you. The manager cares for customer satisfaction and really does try. It's still worth the low ticket price ($4 evenings with plenty of close free parking and concession deals) .

Just left seeing Beauty and The Beast. The movie did start rather late but was worth the wait. Theatre always clean and people are rather friendly. The movie was awesome, I laughed and cried in between every scene. Some singing was a bit long though. Any way I'm giving you 5 stars. My first place to go to see a movie has always been Howell Theater.. been coming here since I was a little girl. And it's in walking distance from home.

The Howell Theatre is a great place to see a movie with the kids without breaking the bank. It is an old theatre, so the screens are a little smaller, and the sound not as cinematic. Overall, the price great, the theatre experience is decent, and the staff is friendly.

Our daughter is 3 and we took her to the Howell yesterday for her first "big movie" experience. Selfishly, I chose the Howell because if she didn't last the entire movie I'd only be out $9 for the 3 of us! But having not been there in years, it was really awesome - like going back in time to when I was a kid and that was "the" place to go see movies. Everyone was super nice and she was congratulated by management with a lollipop after the movie for being such a good first timer. The theater was very clean, restrooms well kept and the snacks were great - awesome price point too. She was well behaved and enjoyed the experience, so I matinee afternoons in our future. Thanks for keeping tradition alive and affordable!

I took my wife, sister-in-law, and her husband here last night. I've been in the past, but they had never been before. We all had a great time. Despite the remodelings that have occurred over the many decades of this theater, it still maintains the historical feel. The prices are perfect, and well worth checking out. We look forward to going again in the near future!

One of my favorite places to visit. The price is right, and you get first run movies just a couple of weeks after they hit the expensive theaters. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they have the best popcorn in town.

Had my daughter's birthday party here. Party room accommodated 12 kids easily, with parents. Old theater, with lots of history. Tickets very reasonably priced, and if you pay a little more, included popcorn and drink for the kids. Definitely got out cheaper here than other party places. I'll do this again, and have already recommended to friends.
