I'm not sure why it took me so long to come here, but I'm glad I finally did!
Being a member of the American Homebrewers Association, I was presented with coupon for 15% off my bill at Weather Mark Tavern. Since it was a Saturday and I had a hankering for some brunch, I came here with some friends. We were surprised to find $15 bottomless mimosas!
So we all sat down in the comfy couches, which sectioned off by sails, and ordered mimosas and some food. I had the Classic Breakfast, which is 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, house potatoes, and toast. I got the sausage, which was really juicy and delicious.
We ended up staying until the mimosas ran out, at which point we finally left. I'm not even sure if I ended up even using my AHA discount, but we had a great time nonetheless!
The owner, Mark is usually around and making his way through the crowd to make sure everyone has a good time! Amazing waitstaff and great food. I've been here more times than I can count.
Nice bar with some nice food and decent selection if drinks to order. Good service. Just beware that this is a young people's bar and you better like some noise and not go here for chats. All in all a good experience.
Good food and overall a very cool spot. I wasn't expecting it to be a loud sports bar, but really great atmosphere on football Sunday. I was bummed they wouldn't serve bottomless champagne, but we went for the bottomless cranberry mimosas and they were fantastic
Weather Mark has a decent menu, each time we go I've had something different. Their weekend $15 bottomless mimosa deal is an added bonus. Be mindful, they have an abbreviated menu and don't do the mimosa specials during Bears home games. We arrived, and were surprised when the waitress told us that they had a short menu and no mimosa specials.
Great spot in the south loop for brunch or even dinner with a group of friends. Blackened tuna was amazing!👌🏼👍🏻
Love the nautical theme! Our waitress was friendly, food was great, and mimosas were.effective.
Great boater themed bar and grill! Awesome food and great service
Great food and lots of it! Fanatstic drinks and the service is always great
Had reservations, staff couldn't be bothered to check and left our table vacant while we took a table outside. After we asked again, we were relocated inside. Inattentive wait staff; mixed up food order; had to retrieve our own condiments; beer not tapped properly (honestly a bar in Chicago that can't tap a keg of Lite); dangerous bolt sticking out of the floor, saw a half dozen people trip over it, we moved our table a couple of feet to block the bolt which the manager complimented us on then the wait staff was even bitchier.
Easy to say I won't be back.
Great draft selection and good food options as well
Fun spot for tasty brunch with friendly service. Love the decor :)
If you like sailing and you like drinking this is the bar for you. Sailing themed bar and home of the Poor Man's Yacht Club. Food is above average and they have good drink specials especially the friday fish fry deal. The layout is a bit strange with worn out sofas around coffee table seperated by sails but otherwise lots of fun and they have a patio in summer.
Weather Mark Tavern easily has the best service in the neighborhood. Such a nice spot to relax and hang with friends, or drop by after work for a drink, or two or three. FREE Trivia Night, Thursdays @ 7:30.
Their website says they close at 2:00 am. Don't believe the hype. I just went there at 11:30 pm and the doors were locked. Staff stood there looking at me while I stood in the freezing cold. I just called and asked why the doors are locked if they close at 2:00 am. The man on the phone said it depends on how good their business is. I advised they put that on the website so people don't show up for nothing. I try to support neighborhood businesses, but sometimes it just doesn't pay. I passed good downtown restaurants to eat in the neighborhood tonight. Never again! These jokers are bogus!
