Always a treat. Terrific food and staff. Brian and Julie really make it great. Not to mention the great wait staff.

I had heard on the Travel Channel almost 5 years ago that this restaurant had the best prime rib in the Midwest. Milwaukee being 100 miles away, I needed a reason to make the trip to find out for myself. When my Son's 🎂 came around--who lives nearby--I treated him and Daughter-in-law to dinner at Wards. The prices were similar to any fine dining in Chicago, but I asked for a sharper 🔪 to cut through the 24 oz prime rib. Well prepared prime rib should not be tough to ✂ or chew, and I was disappointed to experience both. I would not describe the meal as bad, but it certainly is not the best prime rib in the Midwest.

Interior & Vibe is 5/5, Ramen was 3/5, Service 4/5. Enjoyed it, will be back but not for a long time. Shrimp tempura was great.

Wards was a nice experience with a professional setting. The meat portions are generous. My only complaint if I had one would be that the prime rib isnt worth the hype. Its good, but its just prime rib. We couldn't tell the difference in the preparation.

Had lunch here the other day. The Reuben was AMAZING, no joke, the best one I have ever had. Prices were all reasonable and the other three people in our group all said there food was great too. I love this place because if I want to do business or social, they have a good space for us to do either, between the bar, dining room, side room they all have their own vibe. I highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood.

Girls took us to this restaurant for Rob's 50th Birthday! His steak was HUGE!! 50 ozs for his 50th Birthday!!

We have been to Ward's many times and have had a great experience every time. We enjoy the flexibility, of dining environments from the lively bar, or the quite dining room. The food is awesome and the staff is the friendliest in the city. Whether you are coming for the World Famous Prime Rib, or the fresh seafood and steaks, it is a must stop in Milwaukee!

Sanford just is, is, is the best anywhere. Meticulous on every dimension: service, menu, refined atmosphere, impeccable execution. I don't care how far you might live from Milwaukee: if you value fine, fine food, you should make Sanford your Mecca. Tonight we took in the Goat Sec appetizer, fennel broth, halibut and scallops, then a pear tart and seasonal cranberry walnut tart. Some were mindblowing; everything worth every bite and penny.

Great place for a steak, though the food is priced accordingly. Nice upscale atmosphere especially attractive for the business crowd. Shameless personal plug: successfully took down the Baby Dane 40 oz. prime rib last time I visited!

Prime rib was delicious, cooked exactly as ordered. It literally melts in your mouth. Superb. Sides of mushrooms- so so, loaded baked potato OK, Pot belly pork was scrumptious. Next time i would opt for the side dining area as we had a rather large obnoxious group near us. It did not make our Anniversary dinner ambiance very pleasant.

BEST cut of prime rib in the entire US! I have traveled coast to coast and not a single place compares. The name says it all and the proof is in the product and outstanding service. This place really stands out. There are better STEAK places out there but this place does not pride itself as a steakhouse. If you have a question as to what to order just refer to the name of the establishment.

Prime Rib being my favorite food, I have never gone to a better place for it. Now a key factor to enjoying your prime rib is usually to get in before the crowd, you'll get a better cut the earlier you are in my experience. Some of the seating is a bit awkward and the service ranges a little but overall it is an excellent place if you're looking for a House of Prime. Avoid it if you plan on eating late at night, by then you probably won't get a great piece, but if you go early enough the piece you'll get is a savory chunk of perfectly marbled prime rib pink and bloody that tastes absolutely fantastic. Around a 4.5 to be honest but that isn't an option so rounded up to 5.
