The staff is always attentive and a great atmosphere.
Great location but. the waitress did not ask me what size soup I wanted or whether I wanted a tall or short gin and tonic. I was not too upset about all of that until I got my sandwich and it was rancid and I sent it back. I had to go so I wanted my money back but she pretended like it didn't even happen and just gave me the bill. When I told her I wasn't paying for it she said I will have to talk to my manager about that. Was she afraid of her manager? Anyway to make a long story short the sandwich was rancid the soup was too salty in the waitress wasn't quite right. She had a great smile and she was pretty but I'm an older female and none of that really impressed me. I wanted service and decent food. I rarely leave no tip at all but that is what happened this time.
Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices.
I ordered chicken pesto panini, delicious. Great and speedy service. Awesome songs and chill environment for a good beer. Will be my regular spot from now on.
I wish I liked Oakcrest Tavern more than I do. Don't get me wrong, I will still go back there. It is the closest bar restaurant to my house. They are always very accommodating to families and I have two young kids. And the servers are nice. But the food and the atmosphere are pretty much the definition of mediocre: Nothing is bad, but nothing is actually good either.
