I haven't been here in years, but it used to be a really nice little park. You can get in for free but it costs money to ride the rides. It's like a typical amusement park meaning that the stuff in the park is a little pricey. This place isn't really somewhere I'd drive out of my way to go to. It's good if you're already in Erie

I grew up going to this amusement park, it continues to grow and improve! Every time I visit Erie my friend and I go and relive childhood memories. It also has a huge water park. Beautifully located at the entrance to Presque Isle.

Have been here every yrar6for 24 years. This place has done nothing other than get bigger and better. The park is very clean and tidy. Then Continue to add attractions yearly, and good ones. This place is always loaded with tons of people, yet the layout and number of attractions, you don't feel crowded.

This is a great primer park for young riders but has enough thrills to satisfy more seasoned ones. Its small size is a plus as it is easy to get to all attractions and won't wear the little ones down too fast. The updated water park is top notch and will give your family a full day of fun on a hot day. All in all a great amusement park in the old tradition.

Nice park. Clean. Affordable! Easy to navigate. Good mix of rides old and new. Fastest rollercoaster I've ever been on. Great views of Lake Erie from the top. Delightful place.. But..really poor selection of food.

I spent my childhood summers riding rides at Waldameer, and now I look forward to visiting Erie with my own kids for them to enjoy the park. They have done a good job at keeping Water World updated, and an even better job of maintaining the nostalgia of Waldameer. Cedar Point it isn't, but I prefer Waldameer with kids that aren't ready for big thrill rides. The cost fits the parks. The fries at the Potato Patch are amazing. The Ravine Flyer II alone is worth the cost of admission. You don't have to pay to park. There are a multitude of pavilions for families that want to ring their own food in.

Fun amusement park which has grown over the years adding more thrilling rides, kiddie land, and the addition of Water World with its great slides, the biggest wave pool in the area, the lazy river and children's area have been a great addition. It's free to enter the park if you don't want to ride. If you end up wanting to ride a couple rides, but not a lot, you can buy a Wally card for a dollar a point. Different rides are different amounts of points and the cards can be used at the concession stands, the arcade games and gift shop. If you plan to ride a lot of rides, the Ride-a-Rama so you can ride all the rides you want is $29 or $20 for children under 48", $26 and $18 if you enter after 5pm. For Water World passes (Wally Cards) can't be used for entrance to the water park. Admission is $27, and $21 for under 48". Combo passes for both parks are $38 and $29 under 48", after 5 pm $31 and $23 under 48", seniors, over 60 can buy the combo pass for $29. All in all, a pottery good park for a low price as of 2017.

Great place to go. It doesn't rival other theme parks like Cedar Point or Six Flags but there's virtually no wait to get on the rides. The water park has enough slides to keep you going all day, Ravine Flyer II is a good old school roller coaster. It's not all that expensive, we paid $38 for both sides for the day. It's not a must see but worth it if you have time. Great for younger kids as well.

I grew up in Erie and loved this place as a kid. Now, almost 50, I returned there to ride the Ravine Flyer 2 roller coaster, and it's still a great place to go. It has a classic look and feel (the Comet roller coaster is still there from decades ago), but also has a clean, well cared for look and feel. Three reasons to recommend it:

1) It is a great family or group meeting place. Besides the rides and games and food, there are plenty of picnic groves where groups can meet for a birthday party or any other kind of get-together (when I was a kid, the annual newspaper carrier picnic was always held at Waldameer).
2) The Ravine Flyer 2 is quite a roller coaster. As wooden coasters go, it is my favorite (topping offerings from Cedar Point and Kings Island). It's worth a trip to Waldameer just for that roller coaster alone.
3) You don't have to pay for parking or for admission to the park! That's rightunlike most amusement parks, Waldameer lets you get in for free. Once you are there, you can either buy tickets to ride individual rides, or get an all-day pass for rides. I love their approach to pricing. The last time I was there, I only went to ride the Ravine Flyer 2. I paid $4.50 to ride the roller coaster. That was it. No other hidden costs. You can get a swipe card and load it with money that is good for rides, games, and food. Or pay for an all-day Ride-A-Rama pass (currently priced at $29 for the ridesthe water park is separately $27 for the day).

Favorite park in the area! Very family friendly with content of all ages. From toddler to adult there is something here for everyone. Entrance to the park is free so parents just wanting to take kids rest assured there is no need for you to pay if you are not going to ride any rides.

Lot of people but the park is big enough that it didn't really seem like it was over crowded, big water park is where a lot of people hang out. Inside the park is very nice, lines seem to go pretty fast. All the workers were very pleasant. Even the owners were walking around. Very nice day with the family.

Great Family Park. Nice mix of classic and newer attractions. Both an old school walk through haunted house and a Dark Ride called The Wacky Shack. Kiddie Land rides from the 60s. Free admission to walk around. Reasonable prices for rides. Season Passes are a great value.

Small but really fun! Admission is free, so you could just come for a few hours or stay all day with a combo pass for the whole park, including the water park. My older kid enjoyed the wave pool and my younger one really loved the kids play area with the splash pads and slides. The water slides and lazy river were awesome. I grew up going here, so it was a nostalgic trip for me and a fun one for my kiddos. There are so many new rides! Don't forget the best candy apples and taffy around!
