Room is a nice size. Carpet was dirty. Own/ operator is everywhere on the property I didn't like that. Ice.. no help yourself ice machine you have to Go into the office and ask for a bag of ice now the bag is no bigger than the clear fruit/ vegetable bags at the store and the ice is made from ice cube trays I didn't like that and no pets. I will never stay here again.

This establishment is like a truck stop from a horror movie. Avoid at all costs, unless you want to get robbed and go home with bed bugs.
It is right next to a major freeway. I went to 2 rooms on 2 separate floors on two different sides of the building, the road noise could be clearly heard in both rooms. And some cars/trucks are much louder than others. I specifically asked for a quiet room in my reservation, they can't possibly provide that anywhere on that property.
The location alone should prevent you from staying at this place unless it is offered for only $20/night, but it gets much worse.
The rooms are old and smell funky/damp/moldy.
My girlfriend got freaked out by the guys who hang out at this place and started pleading with me to leave. As soon as she shared her sentiment with me, my reply was: "I think we should get the heck out of here as well".
Worst part was the staff, or better yet lack there off. There was a young Hispanic girl at the counter with no authority to do anything. And when I say no authority, I mean no authority.
She is just there to call the crazy Asian lady who manages the place. Forget about professional hospitality treatment, you are lucky if you could communicate with the managing lady over the phone as she barely speaks broken English. She is not even there. And she has no fewer than 14 different cameras pointed at the counter. I am not kidding! and I can't make that up.
We left the place and the lady charged us $120.00 for the first night. Said it is their policy. Are you kidding me?! This place is not even worth $40/night.
It would be worth $20/night if it did not have bed bugs. Then again, other reviewers on Yelp pointed out that they got bed bugs from this place.
I say the health and safety commission needs to shut down this place as a motel and turn it into a long-term storage place.response / report this review -

This is a cozy hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff, and an easy check in. I stay here between assignments regularly and highly recommend this hotel for families and professional travelers.

Best Customer Service and the most awesome amenities a individual could ever ask for on earth in our lifetime. I appreciate and am very overwhelmed with their well taken care of and nicely maintained property. 1000/5 ⭐️’s. The Best in The West. This is a Fact. So, now it’s up 2 you as an individual to book a room here. ? So, hurry the get reserved very quickly throughout the week and even faster on the weekends. Basically they are sold out everyday by no later than 9pm. Anyways, my fingers hurt from typing so much on my oldest smartphone that they don’t manufacture anymore. 🌞😁❤️☮️⭐️™4 3ver n Ever. Thank you so much Sir Vincent I wish you the best of luck n anything an everything you do. Looking forward to seeing you in the future if I ever travel past your hotel again.

As a recent guest of the Vista Inn, I was pleasantly surprised by the personable and speedy service of the manager and staff. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with fridge and micro wave. For the price,.. this is a value site, both for location and customer friendly service.You will be hard pressed to find a better independent Inn in the Vista/Oceanside location. (Trade secretstayed here for the ComicCon a year backand the drive to San Diego..was a snapthe expressway is so nearby)..Bravo Vista Inn.:)

This place still uses keys for entry. I was told that it was 80 a night but its 10 more dollars for the extra person. Very misrepresented and wrongful misleading false advertisement.

it was simple but nice flat screen TV staff flexible in deposit lower it to 10 bucks and give it back no problem. free coffee can in the am as well. thumbs up

Our experience here was great, Vista Inn saved us from a bad night out. My girlfriend and I had planned to crash with friends but too many people showed up and our spot on the bed turned into a spot on the floor. I booked Vista Inn online at 1030 pm and got a room for the night. For $59 the room was very clean, had a king bed, and a pretty good sized TV. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Right down the road from good breakfast options. We will keep this place in mind for future visits.
