I left this hotel in the middle of the night because my throat started swelling up and my allergies were out of hand. There was dust everywhere and the room smelt musty and like dirt. The bathroom was dingy and looked like the tub and toilet had sticky stuff on the surfaces - turned out to be dried up paint clumps. The "white" bed sheets had grey stains on them and the rest of the room was FILTHY!!! I called for house keeping 4 times to change the bed sheets and actually clean the room. NO ONE EVER CAME TO CLEAN OR BRING TOWELS!!! The house keepers tried to say they had serviced my room while I was out for 2 hours- which was impossible since the beds were unmade and THERE STILL WERE NOT ANY TOWELS!!! There were electrical outlets in my room (229) that didn't have any covers and actually had exposed wires, and the bedside lamp didn't have a switch on it. Don't waste your money or time here.

Not he worst I’ve stayed in. Spacious rooms, quiet. No towels or toiletries in the room. Free WiFi is terrible. Only saving grace was coffee in room available for the morning.
Ok, have to revise my rating from 3 to 1. Just told they were washing towels after I called to tell them I had none to shower with. The night person left without notice and I had to wait for the morning person. The breakfast police said I couldn’t eat without ticket which I was not given. How does this place stay in business? Poorly staffed, ill equipped and gets worse the more I look around. Don’t get me started on the dismal excuse for a ‘fitness center’.
I am grateful I am traveling alone for business, I would hate to put my family through this.response / report this review -

Do not believe these 5 star ratings unless you are a fool. This was my worst stay of my two months in California. WiFi will not connect on any of my devices. Only two clean, rough towels. No wash clothes or anything else. I take that back, there is a dirty towel from a prior guest hanging on the back of the bathroom door and hair in the shower.
I'm glad I test a hotel for a night before I commit to staying longer. This place will be losing over $600 in revenue because I'm going somewhere else tomorrow.
The long hair in my photos is not mine. I have very short ash blonde hair. This hanging towel and coat hangers were there before I arrived.response / report this review -

Absolutely abysmal. Only after we checked in were we informed music would be blasting outside our room till at least after midnightnot what you want to hear after a long week on the road. When we first walked into our room, a smell of must and urine hita your face. Stains were everywhere, on the carpets, couch, pillows, tub and even the toilet. This room looks like it hadn't been cleaned in several months. For a room for 4 we were given only two towels; which we ended up using to sleep on over putting our heads on the repulsive pillows. We even slept in our clothes because everything looked and smelled too disgusting to put skin to. The free breakfast was a sad excuse that was easily skipped over; some wonderbread, a small pan of scrambled eggs that we done long before breakfast was and some stale cereal. Avoid this hotel, and I am baffled any hotel site would recommend this place.

Rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. It is an older establishment however has modern upgrades. Very charming building design. Staff courteous Nd efficient.

Biggest problem was that the wifi did not reach my room. I called the front desk for help and she said she would tell her boss and then hung up. This didn't fix it. Friends in nearby rooms had similar problems connecting. All other aspects of our stay wes acceptable.

The hotel name light wasn't on so we had a time trying to find it at 10 at night. The light didn't work, no bulb, on the way in the room. There were two bath towels, no hand towel and no wash cloths. The bathroom floor had caked on dirt. One small bar of soap for washing hands AND bathing. Not too thrilled with the owner on this one, this all is a reflection of what is important to him. I would stay away, if I were you. Mercy sakes.

Vanessa has wonderful costumer service. The breakfast was okay, there could've been more like sausage, but eggs and cottage potatoes were alright. I'd recommend staying here to my friends and family!

We booked a junior suite and it was awesome clean floors 3 beds a bath room a little kitchen a big TV picture on the wall 2 air conditioners 5 foot pool and a hot tub and a great breakfast

Breakfast is good, rooms a bit out dated but cozy, I din't like there Was a hobo nest under the balcony of room 216. Reseption needs to give better directions, had hard time finding room and the breakfast lounge.

Only visited as a guest of a friend who was staying here at their weekly rate which is actually very reasonable compared to other motel in Ventura county that are not nearly as nice as this place was but that charge more. The rooms were clean, spacious, nice size bathroom, comfortable and bed bug free bed, flat screen TV, wifi, pool and jacuzzi, plenty of parking, close to the beach and plenty of places to go out to eat and bars to drink and or buy groceries, as well as other sorts of shopping, and the strip club in town was pretty sweet too. Oh and the owners are friendly enough and aren't up your ass and seem to be trusting of there guests and give them space and aren't nosey or rude

For how old it is . It is pretty decent. The bed is good breakfast is good. The area is kind okay. Next to a Mexican market.

The Location Of The Hotel Is In A Nice Area. Everything Is Close By. I very happy when I checked in. The Channel Island Inn was a win in my book and for the price? Even better. Definitely recommend you to stay here.
