The inn is sweet and still uses real keys. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and were able to help us with the many issues with the room. The parking lot is laid out so that once you enter you have to get back out on a busy road and drive around the block to return. It was nice enough for our trip this time but we'd probably go somewhere else the next time.

Very cozy, very down home and reminds me of the way things were when I was a child in the 50s and 60s.very helpful staff who took care of us wonderfully

Wonderful, clean, well appointed, beautiful deck and view of stream. Courteous staff. Close to everything. Our only choice to stay in blowing Rock.

Great location, friendly staff, nice pond area out front with ducks and benches to relax. The room was tidy and clean, except for a random sock we found from the last guest tucked in the corner of the room, but anyone could've missed that. The water temperature is a little finicky to control but once you get the hang of it, the pressure provides a relaxing shower. The room temperature is also a little finicky to control. The person closest to the unit is going to be the warmest. To fix that, our room had an additional little heater that you can set to regulate the temperature in a 360 degree flow. The bathroom fan also has a heater built into it, which was a really nice surprise. The only down side I could think of would be the wooden doors outside the room doors would slam whenever someone went outside, which I think was a little picky on my part because I didn't want to disturb anyone in another room. A little felt cushion would solve that. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay and would definitely stay again. The breakfast and snacks with wine in the afternoon were enjoyable as well.

This was the worst place I have ever stayed. The room was dirty smelled like mold, musty and damp. The housekeeper was new and running late getting the rooms cleaned. The desk staff were new. The reception hour consisted of old wine, plastic cups, and two little styrofoam bowls of cubed cheese. The pictures and description of the Village Inn are very deceiving. There are no staff on the premises after 5. The furniture is ancient and dirty and smells. We had to plug our phones to charge in the closet because that is the only outlet we could find in the room. The rug in the room was filthy. The shower curtain was hard plastic and dirty.

Good location next to the highway but surprisingly not noisy. Well appointed room, nice bathroom and a balcony with rocking chairs. The hotel lounge area in very comfortable with nice decor and furniture, this is an excellent choice for a stopover on your journey.

Accommodations were lovely and made you feel at home. Staff was friendly. Happy hour was also nice. Located right near a pleasant stream. Rooms were clean. Shower roomy.

The village inn was a great place to stay while exploring Blowing Rock for the weekend. The rooms were very nice and location was great. We walked to shopping and restaurants everyday. But the highlight of the village inn was Chris at the front desk. He started the complimentary wine and cheese early, changed the music in the lounge to please the room, and went the extra mile to meet our every need. Hope to come back some day.

Every time I stay here I'm pleasantly pleased! I love the atmosphere and the staff are always more than ready to help with whatever they can. I needed to change my reservation to another day and even though they only more expensive room available they put us in that one at no extra cost! Love!

Hated it. Stayed here a few years ago and felt like the guy behind the counter was stalking us the whole time we were there. The pictures make it look like a nice little place to stay, but not at all what we expected. Never again.

Stopped in blowing rock for a quick overnight stay. Ended up arriving a bit later than anticipated due to a flat tire and the staff was very understanding and accommodating. The room was cozy and beautiful. Comfortable bed was great after a long drive. Complementary breakfast was great. Definitely would stay here again!

Wonderful hidden gem Rustic features but modern amenities, beautiful setting with private balconies. Very close to downtown and the main road that runs out of town to Boone. Friendly staff, clean rooms, better than most chain hotel breakfast and some nice added touches like free wine bar on welcome, campfires on request with free Smores Just a great environment. Would definitely recommend and will be back the next time we are in blowing rock.
