Where do I start? So me and my wife ordered 10 wings each. She ordered 10 boneless garlic parmesan (which are chicken tenders cut up) and I got the traditional medium. Her "boneless wings" were chewy and just covered in butter (so much so that there was a pool of butter on the bottom of her plate). My traditional wings were wet and slimy. They offer extra crispy wings so you would think that their every day wings would have some crisp to them but it was the entire opposite. Lastly, their blue cheese is more like a watered down peppery ranch. THATS NOT BLUE CHEESE! Now I am from the Buffalo area so I know good wings and these are far from it! With that said however, I will be trying their food one more time in an attempt to give them a second chance. We will see what happens. My hopes aren't high though.
Some of the best in the area I used to frequent BWW but they have increased their wing prices while at the same time decreasing their quantity of wings. First they served 12 wings, then they went down to 10, now they serve 9. Their quality has gone down the drain also. So if your looking for good quality wings. I'd highly recommend Velocity Wings over any other wing place in the area. Their breaded wings with sauce on the side are top notch.
The service was good. They just opened in Manassas so they still smelled like paint. Their version of buffalo wings has no breading on the outside. Just a very thin layer of flower. The honey hot has not spicy at all. The beer cost over $8 and a regular Pepsi was $3!!!! Way too expensive! We got the jalapeño poppers which came with 5 poppers, and paid $10 for them! We could have bought more poppers for less than half of that at Giant next door. Way too pricey. We will just stick with Philadelphia Tavern. Better prices, better beer.
WE LOVE Velocity Wings. The service is absolutely fantastic (the Bartenders are exceptional) & the food rarely disappoints. They've changed up their menu a few times (always for the better). The scenery is crisp & clean with a warm/sports vibe. We normally sit at the bar and try our best to frequent the place when Julia is working as she is the best of the best. They have a good selection of beers and specials, tons of TVs to watch your favorite sports and the wings are delicious (I get them cooked well-done - Spicy Crab is a favorite). The only negative would be that it isn't a huge place so bar seats are at a premium and large parties may have a harder time. I highly recommend VW to locals and folks passing through.
The food is great! I'm just disappointed I didn't see any shrimp in orange spicy sauce on the menu.
We had quite the misunderstanding regarding a take out order. All the details aside, the manager and hostess handled the situation perfectly and went above and beyond our expectations in rectifying the issue. We will definitely dine/take out here again. Everything we've ordered so far has been great!
AWFUL.
Top 3 worst food experiences in my life. Terrible wait staff and rude as hell. I showed up to this place for Mother's Day for a brunch they have every Saturday and Sunday. It was the worst. It took 20 minutes for the drinks to and the food never came. I asked my server to give me an update on the food and he never provided an answer. My theory is that he forget to drop the order. After the another 20 minutes I had enough. I asked for my check and told him we are leaving. The restaurant was at 20% capacity at 12:50pm on a Sunday, so there is really no excuse. To make matters worse one of the servers asked me if I ever served food before and he said to give them a break because they were slammed. I told him to look around. The manager attempted to comp our drinks, but I didn't even want that.
Mother's day is the busiest day of the year for restaurants. Hundreds of thousands of restaurant plan and forecast for that day. Food Serving 101 don't ask your potential customers if they have ever served food. It doesn't matter whether they have or not communicate, be professional and be timely.
Management claimed that they were changing a few things with staffing, so I am under the assumption that they have encountered these types of "issues" in the past. Avoid this place. You are better off receiving better service at Buffalo Wild Wings or Hooters.
Tried the one in South Riding, decided to try this one. Dirty service habits here too, servers running their hands through their hair, especially the bartenders, hands all over their face, then handling our glasses and silver ware. Filthy practices, made us not want to eat here too. We were like ordering food fried to death to kill germs. Never order a salad here,, found hair in one of ours along with dirty fingerprints on a plate. Food stuck on out extra plates. Whoa, servers were actually picking their noses, and thought no one could see. Unbelievably poorly trained in service, food was mediocre. Funny thing was the owner was there we were told by our server, who seemed scared. We did not complain as it really is a poor owner attitude.. Wonder what goes on in the kitchen, probably will call health department , as it was gross to watch, we could not finish our food. We complained to the server, who just said we are not trained about those things, no point in talking to a manager then, the response would be not received well.
Great food nice place to watch games and bar tender was awesome!
Food can take forever to come out if they are busy but always have had great attentive service. Love the traditional tossed terminal wings! Boneless wings aren't nearly as good.
Good atmosphere and good food. Bad customer service in that I was charged $378.32 for a meal that was only $78.96 + $7.50 tip. Believe the waitress was to worried about the Cowboys/Packers game then running the bill correctly. She ran my bill twice and another tables bill twice on my card. Getting money back after it all goes through my bank. Which will about a week. Only got an apology for the inconvience. Nothing else. Wasn't looking for anything free or a discount but didn't even get assurance that it won't happen again.
Told the wife, first and last time eating at Velocity Wings. Never again.
