The beer was good. Folks were friendly.
But both times I was there it seemed the staff were shorthanded or just slow as hell. If I had 3 hours to kill, then fine. But not worth the wait in my opinion.
[Caveat: both times I was there was during finals week for the college, so if they had too many kids working, they could have very likely just been short staffed.]response / report this review -

Thought the beer and food were both delicious. My girlfriend and I sampled the entire tap-list and all were quite delicious. The sausage was very good, and other meats did not disappoint. Would recommend. Also within walking distance of Zilker Park.

They host a 5k beer run every Wednesday at 6:30pm. I highly recommend it, I always get to meet new people and the path lovely. The beer selection is great, but the food not as much. I do recommend the tacos they sell for run club on Wednesday though.

We were in town for a huge conference and needed to have a team get together. They were the only ones willing to accommodate our group of around 50 people (we had to change last minute because our original place couldn't make it happen). Our server was nice, but service was slow and I never received something I ordered, but was charged for it (they did take it off my bill when I brought it to their attention). Their chips and queso are potato chips, not tortilla. I ordered a salad (zip it, I wanted some greens) and it would have been fantastic if the plate was chilled. It wasn't and my salad started to wilt in the Texas heat almost immediately. The meat on my salad was BBQ'ed and was juicy with good flavor. They also have live music outdoors.

Why did you change your license? Seriously??? We avoided you for years because "nothing but beer" then we came in and found you had a proper license. 2 months later "just beer"?!?!? Not even a bloody cider. Too bad if you aren't able to take gluten. So, not surprisingly you were 3/4 empty.

Had my son's rehearsal dinner at Uncle Billy's. Trying to handle a dinner in Austin while being in Dallas could have been a nightmare but Uncle Billy's made it a breeze. The food was great, the beer cold, & the people warm & very accommodating! I can't thank Meghan & the gang enough! 🍖🍺😁

Had the game on and it was not that crowded. Sat at the bar, very chill vibe and the server was great. Ready for any questions we had and very helpful. Drinks were pretty good. Woopwoop!

It's a laid back place, nice atmosphere, dog friendly. Extremely slow service, don't come here if you're in a hurry.. Good beer. Kind of overpriced, but that's Austin. Free parking. Spicy BBQ wings aren't spicy at all. My (very very small) Ceasar salad had more heat than both the wings and the Bloody Mary. It's fine, we'll probably be back.

Laid back fun atmosphere. Perfect place to end the work day with coworkers and enjoy good drinks. Definitely dog friendly here which is a huge plus. Try the veggie burger and the TX Whiskey and Ginger it is amazing.

The first time my husband and me went here and got their brunch- it was AMAZING.
I don't know what changed. Maybe they got a new cook? But it has been less and less so each time we have gone back. We went today and my bacon was so dry it was tasteless and the brisket hash was more potatoes the brisket sorely disappointed.
The service is still amazing but the cook needs to eat his/her own food to remind themselves what it's supposed to taste like.response / report this review
