I have gone to Vail once or twice a winter for more than 10 years, and this is the only place I would rent skis from. Keith always hooks me and any guests I bring up. I have bought skis and boots that I love based on theri suggestions. Based on knowledge of equipment, price, friendliness, and expedience of service, cannot be beat. Right by the Lionshead Gondola.

Rented skis here a couple years ago. Great prices! Bought a used bike here and love it.

Called to ask about ski repair and asked for a location since I had seen some in the area. Nick gave a terse "try them" and hung up.

Done, I will absolutely go to your competitor.

It's a shame really. Most people in the shop are really great, I loved the dogs and the gear is good if you tell them what you're after. The prices seem fair too compared to other shops in Vail.
But after my girlfriend had bought the boots she had been renting for the past week, they exchanged them for an older model over night. She noticed. They refunded her very quickly (yet rudely and without admitting what I guess is technically theft or even fraud and without any apology or discussion) and denied any wrong-doing.
After she left a bad review they threw her and her family out of the shop the next morning (her parents are 70 and had been coming for 10 years). There was no discussion of any sort. My guess is the manager (don't remember his name) knew what he was doing. I wish we could go to the police but we didn't get to take pictures of the exchanged boots for evidence so we can't proof that they changed them.
So just be careful when you buy used stuff off them. And I guess make a decision if you want to do business with a shop like that. Like I said, the most part of the experience was really great. Shame it had to end like this.

I rent from these guys every year. Every time it's a great experience. Last year they finally got me in a good fitting boot that I ended up buying. Fitter said it was going to be tight but I needed to size down, I listened to his advice and while brutal on my feet for the first few days, after a few days of skiing it, it broke in and fit perfect. Very happy with the service here and look forward to seeing them in a few weeks for our guys ski trip. By far best prices in Vail too. Rent demo package and you'll get top of the line stuff. Put me on a Rossi Soul 7 for a few powder days last year and man was it perfect. Plus for a little extra they'll put your boots on heaters so you have warm dry boots the next day.
