We stay here every summer for a family trip to the mountains. Affordable compared to everything else in the area, though you still pay the Vail premium. Lots of good things here:
    - 2 pools (one indoor, one outdoor) and 3 hot tubs!
    - easy to access from main road while being walking distance to the Lions head village (across the street)
    - s'mores and lemonade in the afternoon which was a huge hit with the kiddos.
    - friendly staff for every encounter we've had.
As with the many pros, there were some downsides.
    - pretty much have to use the valet parking (not cheap)
    - breakfast is pricey. The coffee station is an alternative option but is pricey and nothing special.
    - the rooms have a deck (awesome) that is shared with another room (weird). For some families this may be a nice feature, but for us we have to constantly keep our boys from invading privacy of others
We love this place. Will continue to stay each summer so long as we can find a reasonable deal.

$30 for an omelette? Really? Eggs are about.$.20 EACH. I get markup, but, really? No wonder there were about 5 people in the dining room for breakfast. Live music Meh Rooms are nice little amenities are nice (ski valet is a bonus), but overall, not fantastic.

They were so accommodating. My mom was on crutches and they made it easy for her to get around. They truly gave us a 5 star experience while we stayed here. I will definitely be back at some point and recommend this place to others!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Did not order room service or eat at the hotel. Parking was a breeze and check in and check out was equally as easy as well. Did some snow boarding, the snowboard valet was a handy service provided by the hotel.

Got married here about 8 years ago. They treated us well. The rooms are nice and love having the fireplaces in the rooms. We try to get back every few years and stay. Seems like its harder to get in as the years go by, as they fill up fast with conferences, etc.

This place was nice, very nice. We enjoyed our stay. What I did not enjoy was the $35 per person resort fee that got charged to my credit card 2 days after I checked out. In no way was it explained to me at check in that I would incur this charge. I was simply handed a card displaying the great features available under the resort fee, but the card also did not make it clear that this charge was automatic. Not happy.

Beautiful town and nice Marriott overall. They tout private balconies, but it's really just one big one separated by metal fencing. I can see right into my neighbors room and have the lovely hum of industrial air conditioners on my 'private balcony' I would still stay here again despite.great location

I'm here for a lawyer conference and the accommodations and staff are amazing. I was upgraded to a nicer room and everyone from the bartenders to the staff at the gift store were amazing. If you get a chance, say "Hi" to Chelsea. She was kind enough to show my group of three around Vail one night, taking us to a great restaurant and some fun local bars. The next day she put gift baskets in all of our rooms.

As far as conference accommodations, we have a 500 person conference with plenty of room and the setup allowed us to easily go from one giant room to two smaller rooms in a matter of minutes. I highly recommend this resort!

We had a great time visiting the Marriott in Lionshead the servers were very kind and helpful. They were especially gracious with my two small children running around the hotel. They even have a little game room w old arcade games. Great for kids. Didn't get to use it but the pool area looked amazing, plus good bar options downstairs. Plus location is incredible.

Beautiful views from the balcony. Kind of outdated tho. Thank God it was a chilly night the A.c. seems like it's only good for heat in the winter. I had to open the balcony and sleep with the door open which I didn't mind but I wouldn't want to sleep there in the Summer. Other than that all around beautiful little room.

Had a horrible experience with a waitress at the Pub located in the resort on the night of May 2nd. She never acknowledged us to take an order, so we assumed the restaurant was no longer taking orders, we then proceed to ask her if the bar was closed and she rudely answered not even turning around to acknowledge us again. We did however place an order with the amazing young man at the bar who was more than happy to help! Front desk, and valet were amazing!!!! Not sure if I would stay again, will probably rent a condo.

Beautiful location - that's for sure!!!
But unfortunately this is pretty much the only thing this "resort" has going for it. This place is in desperate need for a make over to justify the prices they are charging! No problems with staff , but it took many reminders at times to get something simple as more towels
What bothered me the most is the insane heat in this place ( aka old air/ heat system) - the hallways were sweltering . We slept with an open balcony door at 26 F outside because you could not cool your room down!!!!
This is after a maintenance guy came and changed the filter for us - that did it - NOT!!!
With the heat, of course comes a desert like dryness - which made the stay even more miserable. Oh, each room is equipped with a HOT AIR humidifier - that does - NOTHING!!!
BTW - we are platinum elite members- so not our first place
