This post office, which once supported 16,000 workers, is now the office of less than 200 people. The building is filled with abandoned rooms and offices!

This station's namesake, Postmaster & politician James A. Farley, received The Hundred Year Association's 1962 Gold Medal Award "in recognition of outstanding contributions to the City of New York."

Customer service windows are open late. M-F 8a-10p. Building is open 24 hrs but NOT for postal services. Come check out the postal artifacts and the paintings
