I went to CMC Urgent Care on 5/21/17 because I was experiencing fatigue, body aches, and most notably pain in my chest area (not in one specific spot or specifically near my heart) which caused me the most concern. Overall I really liked the office. The waiting room was small and although they were busy it didn't feel over crowded. The ladies at the registration desk were very polite and helpful. The medical assistant was also very polite. The doctor, however, was a different story. It's not that he wasn't polite because he was nice enough, but I felt like I wasn't taken seriously. I have other health issues that I deal with on a daily basis and live with a baseline of pain, so when I complain about pain it is usually for a reason. He asked for specific things like what kind of pain and exactly where which I answered, he checked my throat and neck, pressed around on my stomach a bit, and then told me that he wasn't going to do any testing but that it was probably a virus and I just needed to wait it out. Okay. That's fine. But then he specifically asked what I was most concerned about and I brought up the chest pain again he said it was all part of the "virus" and I would just need to let it pass. I understand that my symptoms were a little scattered and presented themselves like a virus and it probably is, but I thought there would be a little bit more sense of urgency given that I was experiencing pain in my chest. If I had been having difficulty breathing or increased heart rate I would have gone to the ER, but I wasn't suggesting that the chest pain I was experiencing was life threatening- it was just out of the ordinary for a 25 year old with no previous heart issues and wanted to address it. He DID mention that my heart and my lungs sounded perfectly fine, which was of course comforting to hear. But being deficient of certain vitamins and minerals can cause isolated heart issues, as both of my parents have experienced from low potassium and low magnesium. I mentioned my mom's low potassium and instead of considering that or something else the issue, he went on and on for 5 minutes explaining how people become potassium deficient and then told me it wasn't what was wrong with me. I do trust the doctor, but I feel like I was treated as just another number. Also, he interrupted me a lot which made me very uncomfortable and annoyed.
Staff was pleasant, minimal wait time. Would go again if I needed to.
Quite impressed. Online appointment was easy and I only waited about 5 minutes. I was out the door in 20.
Urgent Care Bedford was a very pleasant experience. It was quick, personable, and so reasonable that I still wonder if they made a mistake on the bill.
