Liam Fortuner was a very straight forward, to the point Sales Consultant. He is very responsive and honest. If he doesn't know an answer to the unique questions, he will get the person who knows the answer.
University Ford is overall very accommodating as well and am glad to have the experience I did.
I look forward to seeing and reviewing their service team in the future.
Thank you Liam and the University Ford Team,

    Sincerely,

    Brian Bitner

I made an appointment for my car to be serviced for an issue with the instrument cluster nearly two weeks in advance. The employee who took my information and the person who called me to ask about payment were both very polite and professional. I took my vehicle to the shop at 7:30 AM on 8/3, right before I left town for a week, thinking that my car would be ready on or before the day I got back. One week later on 8/10, the repairs were not completed – despite my car being in the shop for 5+ BUSINESS DAYS and with an appointment made well in advance! Although I understand that repairs are not always an overnight fix, it seems that based on the information I provided in advance about the reason for the appointment and the length of time my car was in their hands, the staff could have reasonably completed the repairs within a week. Or if there was a problem, they could have contacted me to let me know there would be a delay. However, my 2.5 star rating is based on the fact that after waiting two weeks for an appointment and leaving my car in the shop for a week, the repairs were not done. Ultimately, I had to call and inform the service team that I would be picking my car up at the end of the day on 8/10 to take it elsewhere whether or not the repairs were done, because it was not feasible for my husband and I to share a vehicle after I returned from my trip. My car just happened to be ready on that day, and I can say that I have not had any issues with the instrument panel since. Unfortunately, the unreasonable length of time it took for me to NOT have repairs completed overshadows any comment I could make on the quality of services rendered. I would not be willing to make an appointment or leave my car at this Ford dealership again.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful car buying experience I had at University Ford in Durham, NC. The Sales team was great and Dan Antonios went above and beyond to get me into the SUV that I needed. This was my first new car buying experience and I am so happy I was able to purchase from University Ford Durham. I will be recommending all of my friends and family to purchase their vehicles there too.

Keenan was very professional, he helped me pick out my second car. I traded in my 2013 Kia Soul (which Keenan also helped me with in the beginning of this year) for 2017 Ford Focus and I love it so much. He takes the time out to figure out what car works best for his customers and tries to make his customers happy and confident about the car they picked. If you’re ever looking to get a new car Keenan is the right man for the job. Thank you again for the excellent service I’ll be back in a couple years!

Matthew was an excellent salesman, he listened to what I was looking for and helped me decide on the new Ford Escape. He was professional, knowledgeable. Took his time to answer all my questions.
MJ from Finance was also great. He made sure I understood all my options and helped me make the correct financial decisions in purchasing my new Ford Escape.

I'd been through the gamut of Craigslist, Gravel lots and several other dealerships before I made it to University Ford. I used Trucar to find the car but the experience at this dealership was incredibly special. It is really a family there and I learned a lot about car buying - things I didn't know ever and I'm 51. I researched everything they were telling me and it was all true. This is a very special place and had I not gone through what I went through, I wouldn't have appreciated them as much as I do. Wonderful people.

Very unprofessional. They didn't let me know they would have to keep my vehicle overnight. It was hard to get a straight answer from somebody because I was being transferred from person to person when I was on the phone with them. Also my vehicle was under warranty but I still had to pay a little out of pocket, that's understandable. However they did not give me the breakdown of what I was being charged for outside of my warranty. Nowhere was it specified how many hours of work it took or the rate per hour. I will never be going back to this dealership.

Great service department. They were able to see me quickly and without an appointment for a nail in my tire. Thank you so much!

I bought a car from this dealership two weeks ago, I planned to finance the car but then changed my mind and wanted to pay in full at the time of purchase. They already prepared the document for financing the car and told me if I go ahead and finance the car, it will only result in $1.9 interest if I paid in full next month. I don't want them to go through the trouble of preparing all the documents, and it is only 2 dollars, so I agreed to finance the car. However, I already prepared the cashier's check from my bank, so they decided to take my check, but refund me $5000 the next Monday ( I purchased the car on Friday afternoon). However, ever since, no one picked up my phone and gave me any reply, I tried to call, text, and came in the dealership in person, and it had been two weeks and they were unable to give me the check. I'm not mad at them because they are unable to refund me the money like they promised to do two weeks ago, but I'm very upset at their attitude. They just ignored me like I'm begging money from them ( and excuse me? that is my money). The most ironic thing is, every time I wait for someone to pick up my call, I'm listening to their "dear valued customer, your call is very important to us". Such a joke :) oh, by they way, they told me they didn't know I came in before or called before, today was the first time I ever contacted them. Great :)

This is the best truck buying experience I have had!!!! Jason Foster was my salesman and let me tell you, this guy worked his butt off for me! I have been out of town for work, due to being in the military, and did check out other dealerships prices! I did contact Jason with what the other dealerships were offering, giving him the opportunity to best the price and Univeristy Ford was able to best their prices! Once I found the truck I wanted Jason offered to have someone drive the truck to me while I was out of town!!! Now that is customer service!!! I told Jason no need and that I would be home later during the week, well I did get home LATE and yes Jason was at the dealership around 1030 at night to let me pick up my truck!!! If you do not award this dealership and especially Jason the opportunity to help you with your next purchase you are wasting your time!!! I have purchased many vehicles and this by far was the best experience I have ever been through!! Thank you Jason Foster and University Ford!!!

Brought my car in for an oil change; later that morning the rep from the service department called and went over a few services they recommended. I declined all but one after asking "is this part of Ford's recommended maintenance schedule based on my car's mileage" to which the service rep answered, "Yes". After I picked up my car, I went home and checked with Ford about the service I was sold - it is not a recommended service at any mileage level. Rep lied about it to win an up-sell.

Just left this awful dealership with my boyfriend who has been in contact with Megan since Monday via email about a particular car. She offered him a test driving time for today; however, he had to alter the time and made her aware of the situation to which she seemed to not have an issue with. We get there and use the restroom first. As I walk out of the restroom waiting on my boyfriend I see/hear Megan speaking with another salesman about the situation stating my boyfriend was suppose to be there a week ago to look at the car so he is going to have to look at the substitute. All of this was done in a negative tone. When we finally get to personally meet Megan she offered to look at the substitute with another salesman because she had "another customer." They tried to offer him the same style car with double the miles with a higher price to start. Absolutely absurd! While the salesman was trying to negotiate the sales price of the substitute my boyfriend could hear Megan speaking negatively of him and told the salesman that is one reason why he wouldn't be purchasing this substitute. Megan has been in close contact with him this entire week and even sent over a bill of sale to his loan provider. If you liked getting negatively talked about by someone who doesn't know you and trying to get you to spend thousands of dollars with them then I give this place 5 stars. If not, this place doesn't even deserve any stars!

My wife and I just bought a 2015 Ford Edge sport. We had problems from the get go and should have not even wasted any more time. They tried having us test drive cars we didn't want for one And the manager wouldn't budge at all on the price of the vehicle. They gave me $700 more for my trade in, big deal! As a firefighter and someone of customer service, I would expect to be treated like a valued customer as I treat the public. I surprise my wife with the edge and start going through what we thought was the navigation screen ( that was told it had on the vehicle and doesn't) and realized it doesn't have navigation. Since it is the "sport" model, I would think it would be fully loaded. I first got in contact through email and wanted to make sure it had everything we wanted on it before driving from Wilmington, 2.5 hours away. The salesperson texted me asking how my wife liked the vehicle, I told him that she loved it but it doesn't have navigation like you said. I asked him to speak to his manager to see if they would put it in since they told us that's what it had (I have the email to prove it) and the manager wouldn't do it. I asked how much it would cost $2,500, that's just crazy. Nothing alternative was even provided, just an oh, sorry, that's my fault and you can return the vehicle back to us. I can't get the time I wasted or the gas I drive back and forth dealing with them. We were even going to by my truck from them a few months ago, that won't be happening.

After an email conversation with Jason Foster I was invited out to test drive an f150 I was interested in. When I arrived he started asking why I was interested in this particular truck & offering to show me others. He then said I would not be able to test drive the truck I had come to see because of a spider-web crack in the sunroof. I stood in the bed to view the sunroof and noticed no cracks. Mr Foster went on to say I was not even able to view the interior of this vehicle because he could not obtain the keys from the glass repair guys. Don't waste your time with these nairdowells.

I've been to two Fords in the triangle, this one being my second. The first one was Cary crossroads. My car broke down and was towed to Crossroads, but was under warranty for what had broke. They offered me a loaner car to use until it was fixed.

My car had broken down again, in the exact same fashion as before and is still under warranty. I had it towed to University Ford to get it checked out and fixed, but this place would not loan me a car to use.

I was then talking to a customer there that had problems similar to mine, his car broke down with those things that broke under warranty. He was able to get a loaner car from them while his car was fixed.

I talked to the guy who helped me again, Asking why can I not get one when the other guy who had similar problems as me got one? He said the other guy might have had ESP or some other reasons I couldn't comprehend. He then said I can't get your car checked out until next week, and when it is, if it turns out the item under warranty broke down then I MIGHT be able to get you a loaner. His answer to me just changed a little bit from I can't get you one to maybe after it is checked out.

Other dealerships offered a loaner car, the other guy at the same dealership got a loaner car, but I'm stuck without one and my car won't even be able to be looked at until another week. The service just isn't consistent and doesn't sound right to me. I'm stuck without a car for weeks when what broke down is under warranty.

    EDIT:
Bumped up from 1 star to 3 stars. I received a courtesy call from the service manager Jim the next day. He took the time to explain things thoroughly. Said he would try and see if the car can be looked at sooner than a week to check if the part that isn't operating is under warranty then he will be able to help me get into a rental.

    2nd EDIT:
The service manager gave me a call a few hours after the first call. He told me my vehicle was done. He delivered on what he said about seeing if he can do anything to help, and went beyond. That bumped my review from 3 to 5 stars.
