Hans Hardin is the best sales guy I’ve ever had to deal with ! There was no pressure, he was very patient and extremely helpful with finding me just what I was looking for. He managed to get me exactly what I was looking for and stayed within my budget. I definitely recommend going to him if you are in the market for a new vehicle . Super greatful to have him help me out . Will definitely be back to see him for my next vehicle. Thanks Hans Hardin
Universal Toyota provided a top notch car buying experience and Mr. Hans Hardin ensured we were completely satisfied with our vehicle purchase even after completion of the sale and well beyond the written agreement. Hans hands down is a true top-caliber professional who will go the extra mile to ensure your needs are met. No task is too great for Hans.
This was the only dealership in Texas that had the car I wanted so I made the 4 hour drive to San Antonio to buy my vehicle which I had already negotiated everything over the phone and was told to just come in and sign for it. What I thought would be a hassle-free experience turned out to be a dog and donkey show --- forget the pony it wasn't in their dealership budget which was reflected by everything being out of order in their coffee bar.
In spite of having arrived at the exact appointed time to meet with salesperson I was talking to, he was no where to be found but I was assured he was only 15 minutes away every 15 minutes and no one knew where my future car was located. Finally, after about an hour, he strolls in and he's helping another customer so he basically juggled selling two customers at the same time. I allowed it since I understand how commission based salaries work but this was not my idea of even marginal customer service. After signing reams of paper, I'm then ushered off to the finance dept who has me resign the same exact reams of paper except they were riddled with mistakes such as the wrong down payment, the wrong length of time etc. It wasn't the finance guy's fault, that's just what he was given so here I was again subjected with the time-waste to correct it all.
By this time, I just want to get my car and go so I didn't even care that my brand new keys were not working to unlock my car properly and in all the frustration and mayhem of the sale's guy hurry to get us on our way we forget to do the customary final sweep of my trade in to insure I'm not forgetting anything which I invariably forget my garage door opener but that's my fault in the end. Wait . . . there's more.
After the customary 21 days, I call to check the status of my license plates and they assure me not to worry and like an obedient lamb to slaughter I go one with my life until I realize 40 days later that I STILL don't have my plates! 5 phone calls and no one can find me in their system which is bizarre being as how their billing department never has an issue finding me nor my bank account. Here I am 2 months into this horrid experience and still no clues as to the location of my license plates. Did I also mention the degradation of their misguided assumptions that a woman can buy her own car without a male cosigner these days and how each time I called I had to explain this fact over and over again? Absolutely ludicrous experience that will never be repeated by me in this lifetime.
Sell a great product, sales people work hard to get your business. Great service department as long as the issues are cut and dry. However, if it's an issue that must be elevated to TOYOTA and the service manager has to get involved don't count on getting anything resolved. I've bought many many vehicles at this dealership over the years but no more because of the way the service msnager has handled issued on my last purchase.
Place clean. Personnel nice, knowledgeable, and keep you informed. In fact, in all my dealings with Universal Toyota from looking to buying to service I have not once been disappointed. Current incident, Jesse Trevino, Service Advisor worked with my wife to address her concerns regarding timeliness of repair. Details worked out. Work done as promised. Much appreciated.
Not a great experience today at this place. They took two entire hours to do an oil change. An oil change. I had brought my own oil for them to use because I like synthetic. The guy said they’d use it; he told me to leave it on the floor. I was wearing my military uniform. I go to pay and find out they have a military discount, but the guy didn’t bother to give me the discount. I don’t expect a discount just because I’m military (I don’t think I’m special), but at least he should have gone out of his way to help me, especially after waiting two hours for a dang oil change. I get back in my car to leave, look at the floor, and my box of oil is sitting there unopened. Waste of time and energy to get your vehicle serviced here.
First, let me say thank you for a wonderful experience purchasing my 2016 Toyota Highlander. Just to put it into context, I can't believe I own this beautiful SUV. On the day of purchase, I wasn't planning on buying a car. My friend and I were going to test drive a Lexus IS350 that she so eagerly wants. We went to a dealership on the other side of town and had poor service due to the dealership being unorganized. We told the rep what we wanted and waited 30 min before deciding to leave because he never came back. He and another coworker argued where the car was suppose to be. (They might still be looking for it and arguing) We soon found ourselves at another dealership with Hans and on a whim, he provided fantastic customer service. Although there were no IS350s in stock, we had a casual conversation about a SUV for me. Needless to say, a few hours later I drove away in a car that I've been wanting for a few years. I had no intentions of buying a car that day but due to great customer service, being in the right at the right time, with the right person, it influenced my decision to buy. Attitude goes a long way, and when a seller can make that connection, it makes the whole experience a win-win. Thank you Toyota and thank you Hans.

Clive Parkins
I will start out by saying, when I went to this dealership I already knew what I wanted, as far as the model goes. But my salesperson, Franco Cruz, couldn't have made me more excited to buy my car. I'm also very confident by the way I was treated, that Franco and the dealership looked for getting me the best deal possible. I cannot recommend a Toyota, especially from this dealership, more than I already do: they make a good car and offer next to the best service.
Want a salesperson who has the experience, time, knowledge, and loyalty to you! Look no further than John Caylor at Universal Toyota! John was with us from the time we entered until the deal was inked. We went in wanting to buy but after exploring all options, leasing was best for our son giving him a new vehicle with payments he can more than handle. This reduced his stress level having to balance work and school. He can now work less hours and concentrate more on school. He doesn't drive that many miles so leasing was perfect and John helped us see this and helped us through the process since it was new to me. Thanks John for you assistance and we will definitely be back!
We were blessed to have Ezekiel Quiroz Jr as our salesman. Not only did he show the courtesy and friendliness which would have been expected, but his patience in allowing us to see and test various cars gave us the reassurance of knowing we ultimately chose the perfect car for us.
Mr. Quito also provided knowledgeable information about the individual cars we were test driving and the overall process we were experiencing. He was kind, professional, and totally facilitated our car purchasing experience.
We would highly recommend Universal Toyota, whose staff appears to work well as a team, contributing to the professionalism we experienced..
Hans Hardin was the best salesman. This was my second time buying a car from him and I will do it again without hesitation. He's quick and honest. Knows exactly what type of car I love.
My experience is always amazing. My son has about 10 cars from this dealership in the past and will continue doing so. Mario Rendon is the most helpful, and caring salesman I have ever met. His service is fast, efficient and wonderful.
Justin was my service advisor. He was friendly and did a good job. He spent time with me and he explained everything that needed to be done soon and was realistic in the costs and timing.
Spend 40k on a vehicles, once the vehicles was purchased it took nearly 4 months and a trip out of state to acquire my tags. I was only important until I made the purchased, will never spend a dime at this place again. Every time I would call, no one wanted to take responsibility for the issue I was having acquiring my tags. They made my wife and I feel as if we were bothering them ever time we called about the same issue. Go to North Park Toyota and get a better experience with your purchase !
Was looking for a specific vehicle they had listed on their website, as well as, other third party websites.
Day one: Contacted the dealership to let them know we were interested in that vehicle and that vehicle alone. Asked if they could get eyes on the vehicle since we were driving a good ways just for the vehicle. Was told the car had been sold but the buyers financing fell through so the vehicle would be available to look at/purchase the following day around noon. I was asked if we wanted to setup an appointment for then. I just told them to give us a call when it came in.
Day two: Sent them a reminder email to give us a call when it got in. Never heard anything. Late in the evening, I sent emails to the two people I was working without and received no response.
Day three: I reached out to the sales people again. One messaged me back and said they were checking on it. A little while later I received a call from another sales person letting me know that they would be helping me since the original sales person was off that day. The new sales guy said they had the car, and for use to come on in. We stopped what we were doing and immediately went to the dealership. Once we got their we gave them our keys so they could appraise our trade and went with the sales person to look for the car. After driving around the lot for 15 minutes we located the "car." The one he showed us was the same make and model but different type of engine.
After we pointed out that wasn't the right car. Confusion seemed to ensue. No one could seem to figure out what had happened. Where the car was or what was exactly going on. While our keys were being detained. They were very apologetic and it turned into:
"But hey since you are here on the lot anyway, we can make you a really great deal and a trade on that car anyway."
When you contact a dealership they always first wanna know when can you come down to the lot. It's their biggest weapon. Now, I'm not saying that they posted a car with a great deal online to lure people onto their lot, but it does have that certain feel to it. On the other hand it could have just been a lot of people dropping the ball and we are the ones that fell through the cracks.
It's not only the frustration of not getting the car you were working towards. It's also the fact that we spent money to travel to San Antonio. And it ended up being wasted. We didn't even get to do much exploring since we were always sitting around thinking the dealership is going to call any minute.
