Roasted salsa & paper thin, crispy chips to begin was perfect. Ribs, chicken, steak & shrimp cooked perfect for fajitas. Homemade tortillas, too! Frijoles were seasoned good & the margaritas were great.
Fresh "upscale" mexican. Had the chicken quesadillas and they were fantastic. I loved how thin the chips are, but the day I went they were really oily. The salsa is spot on. Service was great. Would def go back.
The beef enchiladas are the best I have ever had anywhere !! The beef and enchilada sauce was seasoned so well and the bacon wrapped jalapeno/cheese stuffed shrimp!! OMG!! The salsa is nice and spicy (just like I like it) The staff was absolutely Awesome!! Will definitely be back!
The amount of food for one meal is great for lunch the next day. Be prepared to have at least one go-to box! The taste is great and you can tell the food is of high quality v
Sat there for 15 mins and 6 waiters walked by without saying anything. Not one single word. Got up a left
Order the ribs!!!! Ribs at a Mexican restaurant you say? I know, I said the same thing until I tried them.but now I'm hooked. They are unbelievably delicious!
Very convenient location to Concourse (King & Queen buildings). Complementary chips and salsa that are good. Table side guacamole is excellent and actually made at your table which means you can ask them to include/exclude items if you want (i.e. leave out onions if you don't like them). The food and service are always good. The restaurant is large and offers areas for large groups making it a favorite spot for company outings.
The atmosphere and environment is very entertaining. Their queso was very good. Their chips are on the thinner side. Was a bit pricey however.
3/5 stars for food. There is complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was unique and on the liquid-y side. Ordered 2 soft tacos with chicken. The chicken had good flavor, but the lettuce maybe made it taste a little weird to me.5/5 stars for environment. Love the atmosphere. You can sit inside, at the bar, or outside.
Great Mexican compared to the regular joints. Fresh ingredients! Full bar. Love the chips and salsa! Margaritas are good and there is a wide variety available.
The food is quite good, especially love the chips and the fresh salsa just watch out that you don't eat too much. Before I knew it, my wife and I were almost finished with the entire basket and the wait staff were happy and ready to bring us more.
The salsa is quite good, it tastes of fresh ingredients and has a nice smokey flavor.
I ordered from the lunch menu (available until 4pm) and have the Honey Chipotle Chicken Fajitas with bacon which is almost like eating a dessert for lunch. The honey chipotle + bacon is a great flavor and my only regret was that I couldn't eat more, probably because of those crazy-good chips I mentioned above.
Overall experience was good, though there is little to dampen noise, so I find that it is a little tough to carry on a long conversation while in the restaurant as the ambient noise is somewhat loud when the place is busy. Service was good and friendly, and I never ran out of drinks. And they just kept offering up those chips man, are those chips good!
Recommended, though not the cheapest lunch, so would suggest to keep it as a special occasion for families or keep it for the adults/parents.
Good food for being so far from border. As usual, Tex Mex is treated like premium food out of border states so it is priced higher than Texas. Salsa is too mild. Miss having handmade tortillas.
Love Uncle Julio's. my family and I went there for my birthday and just because several times. Great food and great service. You can do call ahead seating so we rarely have a long wait (usually 3-5 minutes). I've ordered the salad and it's delicious. Mixed drinks are good. I've ordered the margarita and the lemon drop. I recommend either one.
Uncle Julio must have been hard of hearing because this place is LOUD. When talking over dinner we all ended up yelling just so others could hear. If you want to eat some good food and have a couple expensive margaritas while sitting in a rock concert atmosphere this place is for you.
A small margaritas is $9.00 to $11.00 and has mostly mix in the drink. I guess they have to pay for the location some how. Service was top notch.
My ears are still ringing.
