This place is sad. Booked nail services and had the worst ever. The place has no beauty feel to it at all, very basic prison like environment in cement block industrial building. The instructors, who "inspected" the work could care less and the students know it. A total waste of money just to get some gunky polish on. Cannot recommend and believe this place needs to be investigated for what standard they are creating here.
I got a really good haircut here, which is alot more than I can say for some of the beauty salons around town. The girl that cut my hair had to ask the instructor alot of questions, but she got it right. Better that she asked and learned than did it wrong.
Got my brows waxed there, it went by faster than i thought it would!
I got my manicure, pedicure, and facial done here for my wedding. My two sisters and mother came along as well.
The advanced facial, which is 30 minutes of massage and facial, is to DIE FOR! I absolutely loved it and so did everyone else who came along. I will be going back for my sister's wedding to get this done for sure! Highly recommend it for a relaxing time and good treatment for your face.
The manicure and pedicure were good for the price you pay. If you got a solid color, it looked very nice, but the french manicure was decent. Granted, you only pay like $12 so it is good for what you pay for. The only actual two complaints I have is that they would not do my mom's pedicure because she had a small cut on one toe. Understandable, but, still disappointing. Also, my pedicure chipped the next day and I had to have them redone while I got my hair done on the day of my wedding which was a bit embarrassing and a bit of a hassle.
I would still recommend them due to the facial being so amazing and you still get pampered by nails for a fraction of normal salon costs. I am going back this Thursday to get a pedicure and facial for my sister's wedding.
These amazing student did all of the hair and makeup for my Highschool play, they were BEYOND amazing. It was an incredibly involved and large production and they were amazing. Their supervisors came along and helped, but everyone was very impressed with the hair and makeup work for our production. As an award-winning theatre program, our school had high expectations and they surpassed them. Everyone was on time and thorough, funny, and respectful of our production. Five stars have definitely been earned.
I am soo mad. I realize I am paying students--who are still learning--not professionals. However. I still expect decent work.
No.
As a previous nail biter, I take great pride in my long nails. The student asked if I'd like them cut and I told her to trim them up since they were quite long. SHE CUT THEM DOWN TO NUBS. As in NO WHITE. Nothing. It's like I bite them all off. When you get your hair cut and ask for a trim, they don't cut 12 inches off. Nubs--I wish I was exaggerating.
Then she attempted to file them. She left them jagged, uneven, unshaped. Not like there was much to shape anyways after she cut them down to the skin.
The paint job was awful at best.
I told her instructor how unhappy I was and that she needs Way more supervision.
Again, for $6 from students, I don't have the same expectations, but never again will I go the cheap route and have my hands destroyed just to save a few bucks. I'm sure some girls are really good but it's not worth the risk to me.
Never in a million years would I recommend.
