  I have been going here for a couple years now after breaking up with a salon on the man strip. My hair has this really weird, unruly texture that's stick straight but with body, and so far my stylist is the only one I've been to that understands how my hair texture needs to be tamed. They also don't pressure you into processes that could be bad for your hair or push products on you. It's really quite refreshing. Highly recommend.

  I really appreciate this business in my neighborhood. I went there originally due to being conveniently located near my work. However, now I would not go any place else. They changed the way I think about hairstyle and they showed me the proper way to use product.

  I visited Tromblay after reading several positive Yelp reviews, and have been back several times since then. I'll admit that I only need simple things done for my hair, a cut and style, so I suppose I cannot judge on more complex techniques, but I've enjoyed my stylists (I've seen three, all mature, friendly, and professional), their quick service (always ready for me at my appointed time), and their price structure (I LOVE not tipping, since I'm never really certain how I like my style until the next day). I'm happy I've found a place I like so well that is so convenient to downtown and so friendly. I've never had enough time to properly explore their front waiting area, but they seem to support several local artists' jewelry and handicrafts work.

  I just love Tromblay Salon. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Besides getting a great haircut that I love, it's always fun to browse around the boutique for great finds. Make sure you arrive a little early for your appointment so you can take in everything in the store area. Its a real treasure trove! I also like the fact that Tromblay is a no-tipping salon with various price points for services. I have referred several friends to Tromblay and they are very happy with their services as well.

  So, on Valentine's day my love took me to Tromblay Salon in downtown Kalamazoo. I left there hysterically crying over the horrible $115 cut and color I had just received. They told me I could come back and have the owner fix it once I calmed down. Two days later I called to schedule the appointment and was told he wouldn't be able to get me in any time in the near future and that he trains all the stylist there so they all have the same skill set and that I wouldn't be happy with anyone there. I messaged them on Facebook with the pictures of my hair, they viewed them then chose not respond to the message! Well I'm now out $115 and left with this mess THIS IS NOT OK!

  Love this Salon!!! First time client..receptionist was my initial contact and was friendly, inviting and helpful. Then I met Andy who took the time to listen and give me feed back that helped me be completely comfortable and confident in her capable hands. Will definitely be going back.

  Been going there for years and will continue to do so. When life stresses me out, this is the place to go.
  
  And to the person who commented on their terrible customer service, you must be one vile person yourself. They have been nothing but kind and professional, both in their attitudes and service towards me and my family.
  
  I hope you visit my business someday so I can gleefully eject you from my premises.
  
  There is no better place, in my opinion, to have various services (haircuts, massages, etc.) performed than Tromblay Salon.
  
  Go there and if your not a wicked person, you will enjoy their unique, fun and friendly services, not to mention their awesome boutique.
