Nicole did my eyebrows today and they turned out great!! The shop smelled amazing when I walked in and they use aveda products so it’s top of the line. I’m the daughter of an amazing hairstylist that has done my brows for a majority of my life so I’m picky to say the least when it comes to my hair and brows. Nicole did a wonderful job and I will definitely be back for my next wax! The guy who answered the phone was very friendly and got me in the same day and worked around my uncertain schedule. You can’t beat a shop that is super friendly AND talented. You won’t regret getting services here, it’s very affordable and high caliper.
Without a doubt the best salon I have ever been too. I have a lot of thin hair that likes to do it's own thing. My stylist always done a fabulous job higlighting (to keep th egrays away), cutting, and styling my hair. The salon is tranquil for me. I have never had a negative experience with staff. I highly recommend Salon Milan.
I love aveda and only go to salons that use their products. BUT today was not a good experience at all. I went in for a touch up for my bayalage and a trim. I has warned them in advance that I have very long, thick hair that takes a while. It's a normal hair appointment until 2 hours in my hairdresser informs me she won't have time to style my hair at the end. Definitely bummed, that's why I try to warn the salon in advance. She takes the foils out, treats my hair with something and quick then rinse, wash, trim, blow dry, and ship me out the door.
My hair is orange and spotty in places and the cut is very blunt and it feels very rough. I left with unstyled and still partially wet hair.
I'm very bummed. I was hoping for better from aveda and I hope they can make it right.
Needed to fix a bad dye job for interviews, so I made an appointment here. From the moment I walked in, I was offered a hot beverage and my stylist was alerted. I was set up with Aimee, who was ready to start within 5 minutes of me arriving. Let me tell you, she was amazing! She listened to what I wanted and what I didn't want, but at the same time I gave her free range to do what she thought would look good on me. She exceeded my expectations, making my hair look really natural even with the dye. The way she cut my hair was also on point. I'll definitely be back to see her, she's an artist!
yessss. amazing place. aimee gave me exactly what i was looking for. best hair i've ever had.
Okay I'm a long winded dude so be forewarned! I love this salon and look forward to my cut. They run a tight ship and the salon is very pleasing aesthetically. The whole staff is terrific. They greet you promptly when you walk in and offer a cup of coffee or tea, and the atmosphere is relaxed but professional. The stylists are passionate about what they do, and they have a consultative and patient approach. When I first went in, I was looking for a great haircut and a little extra guidance than the typical salon and Noelle set me up with a great fade. I've gotten more attention and compliments about my hair then I ever have had in my life! Noelle and Stacy have both cut my hair and do great work. They also sent me a handwritten thank you note in the mailI am sincerely impressed with the level of service at Milan.
I've been assigned to more than one woman (all woman designers as far as I know) and all of them have the creative eye, experience, attitude, and skill that comes with a professional stylist and what I would expect out of an Aveda salon. I've been going to Aveda salon's for over 10 years, in Ann Arbor/Detroit, Battle Creek, and Kalamazoo. This is one of my favorites. My hair is fine, I have a lot of it, and it's challenging for hair stylist to get around three cowlicks plus get the sides cut in such a way that the lay of the hair matches - you know a right handed stylist who cuts both side of the head the same way will result in some hair wisping out on one side while the other wisps inwards (very annoying). One woman described to me how she puts her own "signature" in the haircut. That haircut she gave me (before leaving out of state) generated more compliments than I remember every having. The women are exceedingly polite, beautiful, and engaging. The price is in line with what I would expect from an Aveda salon. The attendance is age diverse. I challenge that bad reviews here come from people who are just grumpy in life generally, don't understand what they want, and complain too much. :)
I'm SO picky when it comes to hair stylists, and for the last year and a half or so, I won't go anywhere else. Noelle is amazing! She listens to my input, and really takes it to heart. The one place I've been to multiple times and have never been unhappy with a cut or color (highlights). She spends a good amount of time on my hair and provides great mini massages and conversation. If I go out of state for work, I wait until I come back home to get my hair done. She's that good.
