Legends say that the same people are sitting in the Trident ordering the same thing every morning for the last two decades and they only get up to order another cup. Andrew Hyde and friends now own the Trident, but the only thing that has changed is that the customers are going greyer.

I appreciate their traditional Japanese and Chinese teaware on the book side because tea is a big hobby of mine and I love the patio out back that I used to play in as a youngin'.

Trident Cafe is a wonderful part of West Pearl and I hope that it stays forever.

This is a great cafe. Very calm and relaxing inside and I really enjoyed the coffee. They play chilled music in the background. Staff are very helpful. Bonus is the adjacent book shop.

Trident Booksellers and Cafe is an important hub, representation, and piece of the fabric that remains of Boulder's old cultural scene. One of the best purveyors of tea in Boulder, they serve many delicious coffee and other drinks, and fine locally made pastries and snacks. The bookstore carries many unique books and is a real treasure in it's own right. Trident also plays host to many great local musicians and other cultural events. Enough good cannot be said if how a place like this functions to support the good qualities of Boulder's intellectual and cultural scene. Please support these places let they disappear.

I'm truly attached to Trident; it's funny because it's a local place in the heart of Pearl and you might think it would be BURSTING with people but it's actually kept at a healthy amount. I see my friends! I even reunited with an old friend I knew when I was four! I don't really dabble in the book section as I do the cafe, booth space, and patio. I also really enjoy the staff because they are so friendly and can craft a mean mocha.

I've been here 11 years and if you want to see the heart of Boulder, go here. Burnt out hippies, pretentious hipsters, baristas with their heads so far up their asses they don't even know how uncool they are. Check out the wannabe artists in their natural environment, who live off daddy and mommy's money or better yet your tax dollars. Some things need to die off in Boulder, and Trident is one of them. Great, overpriced hot chocolate, but if you want to be around a bunch of losers, this is the place for you. Thanks, but I'll stick to Starbucks.

This is such a Boulder classic and really carries the old school laid-back Boulder vibe. Delicious coffees and teas. Great place to meet up with a friend, daytime or night time, for chatting or playing go or chess.

I love everything about the Trident, I've made great, enriching friendships. It's a very community based vibe. The crisis of the commons is resolved here ! Come and enjoy authentic employees, authentic customers and great coffee and books, and great performances by artists of all types in the back !

Big coffee and tea selection (along with tips on how to get the best brew from your tea), and a beautiful outdoor patio in the back.

They have great coffee. As far as lattes they are not as sweet as other places but the quality of milk and shot combination make it desirable. They recently reduced their cup size, this I am giving them 4 stars. Great, quiet, place for work or small meetings.

Love this spot, feels cozy and familiar. Easy to grab a book and lose yourself in an afternoon. Tasty espresso and fun people watching. Never know who you will run into here! Great coffee spot and a Boulder institution preserving a bit of the past for us all to savor!
