I typically skip the coffee these days, but I recently found an old coin purse of mine that was full of change, so I decided to treat myself! Their Ethiopian light roast is easily one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had! Baristas are friendly, and play good jams!

The Cup is a bustling meeting place. It's great place to overhear conversations about what's happening at the startup next door. They have excellent coffee, too!

Great indie coffee spot, with quality espresso and chai. Love the open front in the summertime, as well. The pastries could be a bit better and kept a bit neater in their case, so I don't ever order them and the back could be a bit cleaner/neater in general but that gripe aside this is a great spot for some of the strongest espresso you've ever had!

Coffee came out after others who ordered after us. Was not hot. Really decent beans and awesome space, just not sure what was going on today with temperature and order triage. Might give them another shot.

My favorite coffee shop on Pearl St. It took me a while to find a shop that I could frequent at any time of the day and be happy. The all day breakfast sandwiches are usually what draw me in, but when I want a productive change of scenery in the afternoon I've found myself getting a table by the window and having one of their great lunch sandwiches as well. Not to mention the coffee is fantastic, the staff is super friendly, and they have rowdy mermaid kombucha for sale too!

I frequent this shop several times a year (for the last 4 years) and can say the lattes are consistently lukewarm. Also have experienced a number of forgotten orders at this location, the last 2 times I have visited including today. Petty minded folks like me feel like reaching back into the tip jar to dispense some measure of justice. Espresso roasts have a good flavor. Nice snack options. Still beats the S-word chain

Used to frequent the cup years ago when I worked nearby. Always friendly staff and reasonably priced (lunch, drinks, etc.). Was there recently and ordered an iced almond milk latte. $6 is what they charged. Sorry, but that's ridiculous--especially when half of that is ICE. When I expressed my surprise at the price, I was told it was comparable to other Boulder spots (as if I were a tourist). I've lived here for almost 20 yrs and I can tell you first-hand, that is NOT what other coffee shops in town are charging for an iced latte. That's silly.

Best coffee shop that still holds the local vibe of old Boulder. That and their coffee is top notch

Everyone was just so genuinely nice to me! The staff and their customers. I had an incredible experience. The carrot cake muffin might have helped too 😉

The espresso is good, the atmosphere and space is perfect for working in, and they serve a good amount of food, pastry, and dessert options. Overall a great little coffee shop. -1 because they can never seem to create foam for a cappuccino, which any coffee shop should be able to do. It's always just a latte when I order it

The Cup is perfectly average in almost all ways. Busy year round, even when college isn't in session. The clientele seems to be more of office workers of downtown Boulder, specifically in the tech and startup world. Seating is limited, but there is also a quieter backroom most people don't venture back to find. Has a nice, but small, outdoor patio for warm days. In case you were curious the line forms toward the back of the long counter space. I suggest bringing your own cup to 'The Cup' for bonus points :)

+1 for Supporting a local shop: If you prefer to support local shops this along with Boxcar are your contenders for East Pearl. The Cup is an easygoing Budweiser beer, whereas Boxcar is your triple IPA experience.

Went on a Sunday morning and it was very busy, which is always a good sign. Wait wasn't too long. Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and the Espresso Milkshake. The sandwiches were pretty good, definitely tasted fresh. My milkshake was forgotten but they were nice about it when I asked and got it for me quickly after that (and it was delicious by the way). Fun vibe - I would recommend The Cup.
