Great routes and friendly staff, wish they would get rid of the clip in system and bring back the figure 8. The figure makes me feel much safer!

Great bouldering, top roping, and lead climbing areas. Cheap but high quality rental gear and lots of gear for sale. Definitely an amazing climbing gym.

I read online that belay/lead tests are done anytime. Once I arrived, I was told to wait an hour to take a lead test, then another 15 minutes, and another 15 minutes Until I had waited two hours to take the test. Such a waste of time if you are mostly interested in lead climbing.
That said, the staff was friendly. The price was only okay ($19 for a day pass). The holds were a bit old. Overall, the people were nice, but this is far from a "state-of-the-art" facility.response / report this review -

Seems like a nice place. However the staff was not helpful at all for first time climbers. They stated they were too busy to show how to use the facility or equipment because they were too busy with camps. After spending money on harmesses they were unwilling to show how to use them until we asked for a refund.

If you know someone who is a member and it's your first time going it's free. I enjoyed all the different walls they had. I only bouldered and had a great time. Everyone was respectful of each other's space. Good environment

I took my 4 year old on a rainy Saturday and ended coming back and joining. Call ahead if you are taking kids because they might have a birthday party that ropes off most of the easy auto-belay runs. Nice staff and cool place to workout.

I've been a member for 7 years now, I love this community of people and staff. TRC is hosting events and adding new benefits for the members all the time and trying their hardest to have a fun and energetic climbing environment. Highly recommended for anyone, lots of climbing experience or none!

(Gets worse) The facility is wonderful, But Lacking in service and logistics! Some employees were very friendly. I was there for a day pass. We waited almost twenty min from entry until we were ready with our gear to climb. Also my friend and I who have been belaying for almost seven years now both failed the belay test because we didn't know the exact things to say about the knot. We tied it perfectly but we were surprised to learn, as we failed their test, that there are specific things other than the knot is correct. The employee doing the test was remorseless. It was honestly stupid that we could pay and get geared up and then not be able to belay because we failed the test. Also they said we could come back tomorrow and re-take? Some really nice member stepped in and belayed our group, saving the day for my friends bday outing.
Would be a great place with a membership but is almost stupid to go for a day pass.response / report this review
