They paid for those 5 star reviews. This is most GHETTO Hilton I’ve EVER seen. The staff never put their personal cell phones down. We paid $132 for a room and they charged us twice. The towels are made out of card board. The beds were .eh. The shower vent was BLACK. Also if your bringing a pet make sure you “read the fine print”. but if you still decide to go here.. the restaurant in there is actually REALLY good.
I am very particular about where I stay when I go on trips. Based on the rating and the brand (Hilton) I thought that the hotel selection would be exceptional. However, I was wrong. Granted the hotel is under renovation, I still was not impressed. The outside of the building looked outdated. The "store" inside the hotel wasn't much of a store. They had a few snacks on the same rack as the magazines. The host at the front desk was very nice. That was a plus. Since its under construction half of the front desk area was cut off. When you walked back towards the bar or restaurant area, it looks like a small meeting room where they placed chairs and small outdated tables in. The host informed me that the rooms were finished being renovated. Wishful thinking that the design and appliances in the room would bring me comfort and reassurance. There were stains on the curtains and some on the bedding. I did not have a refrigerator or microwave. The bathroom was very small and there wasn't a ventilator in it. The water didn't get very hot in the shower. Despite my disappointment in the hotel compared to other Hilton hotels, I tried to be okay with my stay. After I left the hotel for an outing I came back to my room around 9:30 p.m. I honestly just wanted rest. Well after settling in and showering I finally went to bed around 10:15 p.m. The people on the floor I was on were extremely loud. I could hear the kids playing in the hallway and the adults were very inconsiderate. Well, finally they settled down around 11. I went to sleep only to be awaken at 6 a.m by the fire alarm. The siren continued to go off for about 20 mins. So much for rest. That had to be worst experience with the Hilton that I ever had. I will not stay there again. I'm not sure how this hotel got good reviews.
No microwaves or fridges in rooms if you need them. 1.5 miles from a shopping area, bars, etc. So an Uber runs about 6/7 bucks. Great gym and pool. Construction at the time of visit. Staff treated us Wonderfully. Shuttle system to and from the airport was a bit interesting, but nothing to truly worry about. Overall, a good stay.
There is a lot of construction currently going on. The front entrance to the hotel is closed. You must go to the back entrance to check in. To get to the main ballroom from there you must follow a marked path around the construction and through service hallways to eventually comes to the area where the grand ballroom is. The restrooms near the grand ballroom were closed so you had to walk all the way back to the rear entrance to find working restrooms. It will probably be very nice when the construction is done, but while the construction is underway it is not the place to be holding events.
The front desk staff are amazing. Extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. All necessary business class amenities are there. The security team has a real crappy customer no-service attitude about them and they should all be terminated. Everyone else is great.
I left my beautiful wedding ring in my room at The Hilton on Wake-forest room 146 Oct 24-27. I placed it in the bed side drawer ( my husband was in the hospital I took it off because I broke out in a bad rash placed in the drawer so I wouldn’t loose it) called to have someone get it for me and no one could find it!
Understanding It’s my fault, I was hoping someone would turn it in to the front desk for me.
Reward of 500.00 to anyone who turns it in!
My first wedding set given to me in June by my husband I waited 30 years! I am so sick at the thought of what has happened
I have called the front fest many times talking to the manager Julie she had informed me that there were some guys who were heading too boot camp that stayed in my room after I checked out, I was told there was no way to get in contact with the gentleman!
I am praying that maybe they found it and put it away safely in hopes the owner would reach out! If there is anyone that could help me I would be forever grateful!
You can connect with me on this site I’m checking in everyday, all day.
Thank you so much in advance!

We had a rough start, but the manager made everything right. She went out of her way to make sure we were more than happy. They're doing renovations, but we did not hear noise in our room. The staff is polite. The hotel is within 5 miles in each direction of shopping and restaurants even downtown.
Besides the current renovations that are inconvienent the meeting spaces are great, the food quality has gotten better, and the hotel rooms are as expected. I would recommend this location for events or as an overnight stay. While my personal favorite hotel is Hampton Inn & Suites (part of the Hilton brand), I do like the Hilton hotel is my third favorite place to stay. Embassy Suites is my second favorite.
The staff here was courteous and helpful, even when recommending places that would deliver pizza over the normal Dominos. They were under renovations, so the front desk was closed and had to check-in toward the back of the building giving the clerk no way to control the front room. The room I had was in line with the roof, so my view was the rocks on the roof. This wasn't bad I'm used to being stuck in the hole every now and then, but looking out of that window there were plastic bottles, cups, and all sorts of trash. At least have someone pick that up if it is noticed.
I LOVED my room. The housekeeping is amazing! Everyone was Pleasant and accommodating. I enjoyed the shuttle to the shopping center and the fact that you could order a refrigerator for your room if needed. I stayed 10 days with my company. Construction was occurring, but it only interrupted our training time. The walls were thing and I could hear others in their room, but other than that.it was a great stay!
Stayed at the hotel two weeks ago with friends, our rooms were clean so as the food was delicious. We were looking to go out and asking for places to visit one of their House keeper was so helpful and friendly to help us, she was not even bothered that we stopped her in the middle of her cleaning to ask her for places to hang, she was very helpful and speaks good English. Great staffs we will come back.
I stayed at the Hilton for just a night, and it was a good experience! I was slightly underwhelmed by the hotel furnishings (design, furniture, etc). They were nice, but not the caliber I usually experience at a real Hilton. The room was VERY large and well-kept. I didn't interact with the staff very much, but they seemed focused on their work. All in all, it was a decent stay!
Stayed two nights. Was gone most of the day for both. As for the room itself there was a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor that let in a little light. There was a tiny stain on the window curtain that kinda looked like blood. The room smelled a little moldy until the air conditioning was turned on low. The beds were comfortable and the pillows let me have an amazing sleep. Part of the room and hotel seem outdated. That said it's close to downtown and many restaurants. The service was excellent. The parking is plentiful. If this hotel can fix a few minor things it would get five stars from me. Otherwise I highly recommend a stay here.
I attended a convention at the Hilton Midtown. The convention was great and the facilities were will suited to our needs. I only deducted points because the interior felt a bit dreary at times with it's dark tones and sporadic windows. One bonus I liked was the layout of the building. There were plenty of visible dead ends instead of splitting hallways making finding your destination by wondering pretty easy. Made it simple and fast to find the convention we were going to without any signs.
Rooms nice and clean. Our room was completely paid for @9am, but we had to wait until 4:30pm to get in our room. This was frustrating, the front desk worked with housekeeping to resolve the issue, but I feel this should be an issue that proper procedure can eliminate. Breakfast is excellent. When really large groups come perhaps extra support staff in housekeeping and the table clearing/ cleaning crew could increase guest satisfaction and be what is expected from the Hilton brand. Thank you.
